Hi guys, glad to be here.

I did a reading a couple of days ago and it was a three card spread and the question was about someone's action. I used the Shadowscapes Tarot and I don't do reversals.

- 1st card was what's on his mind and I pulled the 9 of pentacles, maybe it means that he needs a closure, the 9p talks about self sufficiency, being whole and trusting yourself.

- 2nd card was what's in his heart and I pulled 9 of swords, I believe that it means that he's feeling anxious.

- 3rd card was what will be the result of this action and I pulled the 9 of cups, to me the nine of cups is about reaching your heart's desire.

My question is about the three nines and if it modifies the meaning of the spread in any way.

I've been searching and I've read that the nines are about completion, and I also read that three nines are about correspondence.

I would love to know what you think about it and if you've had any similar experience with repeating numbers.

Thanks

According to Waite's Pictorial Key to the Tarot, 3 Nines stand for imprudence.

May I ask for some more details about the person's action? This would give me more context to interpret these cards.

He blocked me in every possible means of online communication, and after 4 months he unblocked me.

Thanks for answering, I've read many different things. I will make another post when I'm sure of what it meant.

Was this a romantic relationship?

This is what I think maybe happening.

1. It's possible that he thought there may be a possibility of having a connection with you.

2.The Nine of Swords could mean that he may have felt that he missed out on something, or that he was in a dark period of his life and could use your friendship.

3. Is there a possibility of re-connecting? How do you think that would go? This may indicate it could be worthwhile.

It was a romantic relationship, we tried to be friends after it was over but he didn't seem interested and blocked me.

I got a little bit confused about the 9p, on the Shadowscapes it feels like someone who's happy to be by herself.

Thank u for taking the time to answer me. I really appreciate it.

Here's what I see:

1.  What's on his mind?  You, in all your happy-to-be-alone glory.  Or perhaps he is just thinking about being alone in general.

2.  What's in his heart?  He is agonizing, maybe over #1.

3.  What will be the result of this action? Kind of hard to interpret since I'm not sure if by action you mean the fact that he blocked you, or that he unblocked you...Either way it is seems to bring emotional fulfillment and a sense of self-satisfaction.  But again, whether for you or him or both, not sure.

As for the 3 nines, most book interpretations regarding multiples seems so random to me I don't usually listen to them.  Overall I would see 9's as an ending, and multiple 9s would simply be emphasizing that.  But I also wanted to point out that there's another 9 in your reading...If you take all the cards and add them up 9+9+9=27, then reduce that 2+7=9.  So again, the major theme of the reading is 9, the Hermit.  Maybe that will help give an overall context to your interpretations.

I agree with you, #1 may be his thoughts about me and how I am ok to be without him. I really wanted to be his friend.

About the nines, I know it means endings but in my opinion this is what has already happened, the relationship is over.

Maybe the nines mean that some kind of closure is needed.

And #3 may relate to the fulfillment this closure may bring. And I hope it means we'll become really good friends.

Thank you.

Hi Sunnyside,

Here's my take on your questions.

What's on his mind : himself and his zone of comfort. He probably thought he was ready and stable enough to have contact with you now and that it was a good idea for his himself

What's on his heart : stress. It's never easy to establish a new contact, he probably didn't know how you will react.

What will be the result : self contentment  and satisfaction

Usually I see the 9 about ourselves, with these cards I think the main concern is ourselves and our well being. It could be selfish or not, it depends. So I'd say this person unblocked you for himself, for his own good, because he thought it was the best thing to do for him.

As others have, too, I'm seeing this 9P as how he sees you. Perhaps he's heard/observed that you're doing well since the breakup — maybe seeming very content with yourself lately or even completely unbothered by his absence, happily doing your own thing. He, on the other hand, has apparently not been doing so well (9S): isolated, on edge, possibly hounded by dark thoughts... And in this state, he may very well seek a 9P sort of person now, hoping some of that comfortable, self-assured energy will rub off on him.

In line with the solitary nature of these nines, however, I don't see a reconnect arising from this action — at least not of a mutually caring, give-and-take sort; the 9C "result" is about a self-focused 'receiver', too, not sharing and relating... As such, the ex's efforts to ease his mental disquiet via this renewed attention may make you feel very pleased and appreciated but not incline you to reciprocate in kind if he still seeks more than friendship. Considering this card and the ex's current 9S 'heart condition', in fact, I'd keep an eye out for any inclination to string him along or actions that he might interpret in that way, as doing so could affect him quite harshly. (This possibility may not apply to you at all, BTW, but it seems like a good idea to consider it, just in case, to avoid unintentional hurt.)

Cheers.

Thank you, I will be careful with my actions.

I've tried several times to have a relationship with him. He didn't seem really interested. He used to ignore me... Sometimes it took him a week to answer my messages. So I decided to move on. I care about him in a friendly way. And I understand what you said.

Thank you for the insight.

. . . I also read that three nines are about correspondence.

If you're an adherent of the Golden Dawn system, Book T by Mathers and Felkin also pegged 3 Nines to mean "much correspondence", so yeah.

I see the 3 nine's in the reading to mean that situations or events are about to be, or have been completed and that something new is on the horizon.  Nine's in general are about attainment, fulfillment, conclusion and completion, and the relationship has ended.  So the presence of the 9's perhaps not only indicate the conclusion of the relationship but indicate a moving on from it.

Sorry for the delay I use tapatalk and I haven't received any notification.

I've read about "much correspondence" in many sites.

Yes the relationship ended 4 months ago. I kinda feel like these nines indicate that he needs a closure so he can move on.

Thank u.
