Which is your all time favorite Tarot card and why?

My all time favorite tarot card is the 6 of Cups:

 

 

Because it has a very warm and beautiful meaning of memories, nostalgia, and things we left far behind in childhood.

@DestinationQ1 I think you have to define it a little more. Do you mean fave card for the artwork? or fave card generally in the deck? 🙂

Death. Whatever deck I'm in - Death. It almost always has the most interesting imagery, for a start. If I hate a death card, I will generally avoid the deck completely.

If you want other opinions - that is a 6 cups I could never take seriously. It isn't to my taste anyway but doesn't get the tarot meaning across at all to me - it's just a bit silly. But for reading purposes, perhaps an improvement on that wall of text one.

 

@DanielJUK maybe this could be merged with the older fave cards thread ?

I actually like that rendition of the 6 of Cups a lot! It has both the 6 of cups and the 6 of hearts on it! Plus the water symbol at the top. The babies are cute too!

What a great choice. The Sun card is one of my favorite too. This Sun card just gets me smiling 😀.

Hi Gregory, it is. I am new to the Tarot deck and now falling in love with it! I am taking this deck design in the “silly and whimsical” approach and from your responses I don’t think this is your kind or taste in the deck / art work and afraid to share The Death” card with you haha. Interesting enough is that I also like The Death card very much. Very much so that it has a very meaningful place in the deck, comparable to the “0” card, The Fool..

Your deck is certainly not to my taste. But the Sun is more tarot; I can see where you're going with that one.- The 6 Cups, to my mind, really isn't. I have a number of - less serious decks, and there's nothing wrong with whimsical - but that 6 cups would really be a deal breaker for me. As an aside, this is a purely personal thing, but on the whole I prefer my tarot cards not to have playing card symbols on as well as tarot ones. It's the 6 cups, not he 6 hearts ! MANY others would disagree though, and absolutely you do you on that one.. It might work for the pips - but where - for instance - do you get Ace Hearts for he Sun; and you only have 52 playing card "titles" for 78 tarot cards...

 

Have you thought of posting in the creation forum - this thread begins to look a bit like promotion; ion the creation area, you'd get feedback on what you are doing, rather than other people naming cards from other decks.

I must say my favorite card is fluid and ever changing. BUT when I saw the House of God card in Trionfi Della Luna by Patrick Valenza ... I HAD to have the deck. Funny thing is ... it's one of the "extra" alternate cards.  I love the rest of the deck too ... but this ONE card enchanted me. Is the Demon dragging him back in? Or pushing him out? Are they driving him out? Or all escaping together?

Hi Raggydoll. Thank you for the comment. I try changing the name of the tend but it is not allowed. I kind of want to keep the title of the deck somewhat of a secret but the deck will be release on Kickstarter soon. Will love to share the link once it launches. 
 

Misterei, thank you for contributing to the trend and sharing the card you favorite card. I to like hoe you describe it. I love any artwork that is ambiguous and leaves the holder wanting more or searching for clues. The master Michelangelo does that very well in his artwork.

 

I also like how that card is out of the normal 78 Tarot and added to the deck as an extra card
