Thank you for the warmth! I’m very new to tarot with an intense desire to learn.  A few months back I was inspired to look at the deck I was given years ago, the original version of The Mythic Tarot - a passion was lit!  I spent until recently writing my own “tarot book” and learning from the ground up until it felt the foundation was solid enough to start building on. So I’ve only been actually interacting with the cards themselves a couple of weeks.  Very new but excited to continue this path!

Ah so you know the differences between the original mythic And the redone mythic tarot. 

 

When you check the tarot books, there is your text book,  your scholarly high language boom. Your workbook. 

And your basic beginners book which do right makes the higher language book easier. 

Example is eden grey books really made the tarot easier for the beginner to understand.

Did you manage to score Liz Greene book on the original mythic tarot?

 

I guess the only thing I can advise is don't buy too many books , instead read reviews and get specialized books like minors,court cards, reversed cards. Psychic,

Yes, I didn’t know what I had for a long time but it came with the book and original packaging.  Her book is exceptional; very helpful and insightful.  The more I study, I’m seeing The Mythic Tarot is gentle in it’s message delivery (comparatively) but one thing to know - the Fool’s Journey is in an alternate order compared to RWS.

 

Thank you for the book titles and the advise to specialize the book focus - I can see that being a very smart next step!  I’ve worked through Holistic Tarot by Benebell Wen and Tarot as a Way of Life by Karen Hamaker-Zondag as part of the foundation knowledge building. Starting to apply that to spreads now has been an experience - all I can say is I’m grateful.
