Hey, everyone!  Thanks for the welcomes.  Happy to be back!  And to be using the We Are One.

 

I’ve been feeling held back in my daily readings because I’m running out of questions.  Or just really don’t want to know what’s going on!

 

So I’m going to do a card of the day for a few days, then I’m going to try @Raggydoll’s spreads for each day of the lunar cycle.  They look like a real treasure! 

 

Card for today, Sunday:

 

 

Elder of Earth, and, since I already had that one in my interview, I added Nurturer of Water

Interesting combination of court cards.  Let’s see.  I’m in total control of my physical circumstances, or could be if I tried.  But I should also pay attention to how I feel and how I want to feel.  Nurture myself more than just physically.

 

What a beautiful detailed elder card!  Yesterday I saw the mountains behind her as wings.  Very substantial wings!  She’s so strong.  And I love her labyrinth pendant and braid.  So real to life yet spiritual.

 

The nurturer card is simpler, but very meaningful.  I like that she’s at the bottom of the ocean, not just by it.  And she has braids too!  She is in the shell like Venus, but she doesn’t care about romance and superficial beauty.  She’s concentrating on nurturing herself and others from her inner world.  And the fish aren’t even surprised!

 

I wasn’t sure how I’d get along with a collaborative deck, but I’m enjoying teasing out the similarities in the contrasts.

She’s got great mermaid style AND watercolors!  And a fishy friend.  And a water sprite?  I usually feel weird about big eyes, but these work with the whole illustration.  (And they don’t look like she’s scared.)

 

A very positive card for today.  I’ll take it!

well, here's my cat helping.

Tarot Cosmico by AGM. This deck has been around awhile and I've always had mixed feelings about it. Some cards I love but others seem to pay homage to 90s supermodels. I lived through the 90s and hated the fashions even then.

 

Topic: We recently moved and must rent-out our house. It's pretty overwhelming. I got innundated by responses from ppl who didn't seem to read the ad. Welcome to Zillow. *sigh*

Anyway ... pulling cards on the only prospects who actually read the ad, looked at the pictures, and complete the application.

Past = 2 coins. We've been juggling the house we're renting and the house we need to rent. Working on both

Present = 2 wands. My partner and I have worked together and we've done good work. The place looks nice for whoever ends-up renting.

Future = Empress. On the surface this seems great ... future prosperity. But it's right next to Devil.

I never like to see Devil.

 

After a positive beginning ... a negative or ambiguous combo:

 

Devil  = advice of the cards

7 cups = us

Temperance = them (it's a young couple from across the country moving to our town)

This combo often shows me drug or alcohol issues ... but this wasn't a personal spread .... I don't really care about their issues ... only it's good for us to rent to them. Sometimes I pick up irrelevent sh*t about ppl ... I don't want to ... I just do.

 

Outcome = 6 cups. Ambiguous. They get homesick and go back to Maine? We're not looking for forever tenants ... so this isn't making sense.

 

Hmmm.

I feel like the cards are definitely telling don't get your hopes too high.

I might do a clarifier on this one.

I don't always trust a new deck on a serious question ... but this deck was familiar to me.

 

Anyway, appreciate any insights. Devil is the only bad card in an otherwise decent spread ... but I never like to see it in a business setting.

Card of the Day:

 

Temperance Rx feels oddly intimidating. Like, what do I need to fix? What needs to come together in a whole new way? In 2021 I was in my Temperance year. I spent most of the year thinking it was all about me becoming balanced within so that I could even have a chance of being balanced without. Ha! The year was nearing the end when I realized it was so much more! It is about bringing two or more things together to create something new. I needed to morph spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental bodies together and create a personal balance. There wasn’t even a guarantee that all things would come in equally, simply that once combined, once blended and melded together, that balance would be achieved, would be the ultimate outcome. If balance wasn’t achieved, back to the mixing table I would need to go. And, with changes going on all the time, I needed to now be able to redistribute and recreate the balance as needed.

In this Temperance card, the sitter has bare feet, one is immersed in water and the other solidly on a rock. The rock appears to resemble the shape of a heart. The square tattoo with a triangle inside, represents all four elements and the body, mind and spirit. There is a white feather signifying Divine guidance is present and available. In front of the feet is the ripple of water signifying how our actions and beliefs expand. When upright, the sitter is moving forward or away from the sitter. When reversed, the sitter is moving towards themselves.

 

The message to me today was a mirror back to me to review where I still need balance in my life, what contrasting areas need to be blended into something that will support me so that I can live my best life.

My first instincts on interpretation turned out to be correct but made zero sense till later. How could an opportunity for recognition (in my little job) cause stress/worry? When you're 2 months into a retail job, having worked alone the whole time and the owner shows up while you're elbows deep in a £140, fabric sale, that's how 😅.

 

The Mary El 2 of cups played out in our interaction, while I was serving. Boss was making sure I was warm enough and knew I could close the door/drag out the heater rather than bundle up, admiring my hand knitted sweater and saying thank you for doing everything right for her to re-order what I was selling out of.

 

Learning lenormand feels like a series of little hallelujahs, between stretches of banging my head against a brick wall.

Without a total review of these cards themselves, I am inclined to agree with you mostly because o how you feel about it. Having the Devil in the Advice of the Cards position followed by the 7C, Temperance, and 6C seems like a lot of water here. Also, if a pair of cards hold a specific meaning for you, maybe they are trying to get your attention for a reason.
 

Just sharing some thoughts. Maybe the question needs to be more specific?

Thanks so much for you kind commentary. I ended-up doing a clarification spread using Keymaster deck ... which has been reliable for me lately.

Even the Keymaster reading had a bunch of cups including 6 cups. Love when Tarot serves you the EXACT same card in your clarification spread haha.

 

In any case, I ended up taking both readings together as a warning about being too emotional. I lived in this house nearly 7 years and I've put so much  blood, sweat, and tears into making it nice. I'm attached and emotional. Which is odd. I'm usually a chilly, distant sort.

 

Keymaster served Sun + Queen Swords as the synthesis. Thus I'll end up making a good contract ... either with this prospect or some other ... just gotta keep my emotions in check. Thus in original spread ... Devil+7 cups + Temperance is perhaps more about my emotional attachment and compulsive behavior around it.

 

Of course I'll eat crow if I discover this prospect had a substance issue! I may never know ... it's not a thing you can just ask. Can you imagine the interview? "My tarot cards showed Devil+7 cups + Temperance ... are you a sober alcoholic or drug user?"

This deck took me by surprise. It is pretty special. I liken it to Light Seers and Spacious if they had a baby.

Dagnabbit. Tried to order the Phantomwise Tarot for DOTW next week but Amazon's totally busted in the UK. Don't know if other regions are still able to check out but they're losing sooo much money in the UK right now 😄.

 

Should still be in time if it's up & running again tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Card of the Day:

 

 

Ace of Wands is such earthy colors, deep and rich red, green, yellow and brown. The specks of yellow sun reveal bits of light. The lizard is holding onto a rod with narrow points on each end. It resembles a pencil, a tube, a piece of butterscotch or caramel candy, or a double tourmalated calcite wand - I checked the guidebook. His head is turned back looking right at the sitter as he freezes in place holding the treasured wand and, chameleon like blends into the surroundings. The green seedling meets the lizard’s tail in a way that brings your eye to seeing the outline of a circle in the center of the card.

 

The lizard is ancient and their skin is tough and scaly. They shed their skin and can drop their tails as a form of protection. He looks like a combination of several animals: a snake, a frog, a dragon. It looks like he could sit on the wand and it would fly him away. Is he taking the wand or intending to deliver it to the sitter? He blends into the earth to decide before he scurries away.

 

A very special part of my spiritual journey is about to be underway. It is a gift if I pay attention and acknowledge the flame within. I will recognize it by remaining grounded and listening to my inner wisdom. This gift will cause me to grow out of the old and into something new and improved.

A bit to my surprise, I decided to sell my Slavic Legends tarot. It went within an hour on Facebook, and it is boxed up by my doorstep.

I'm not going to have much input this week as a result.

I won't list here why the deck did not resonate with me, as I don't want to dismay people. But if you want to discuss via PM, I am happy to share what turned me off.

There's a thread in the Decks section about Why Decks click or don't click. Curious to hear your process on that thread ... or perhaps message me if you don't want to discuss on the thread. I'm exploring this whole idea of deck collecting and knowing the hits from the misses. Your post really caught my attention and I'm curious about your experience.
