Raggydoll Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 I am SO tempted to buy some decks from this site, it really looks so lovely. I am just wondering, do their decks ever smell of incense? I am really sensitive to incense, it sadly makes my nose stuffed and my eyes runny so I am a bit hesitant to take the risk. When you buy mass produced decks they are usually sealed in plastic so the smell would never penetrate the cards, but I'm not sure if indie decks are commonly sealed or not? If you have ever bought decks from this store, please tell me about your experiences. Would so like to be able to place an order without having to worry (I mean, those decks aren't cheap to begin with, but I totally think they could be worth every penny as long as I can use them without getting the sniffles ;D)
CharlotteK Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 I have bought maybe 7 or 8 decks from Beth at Little Red and have never noticed any incense smells at all. If you were to email and ask how she stores the decks she posts out I'm sure she'd be happy to give you full details. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Page of Ghosts Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 I only have 1 deck and planning on more, but I can't remember any smell of incense. Just send her a mail and ask if you worry :) the address is shop@littleredtarot.com
Raggydoll Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Thank you both! I did email her and got such a quick and nice response. It turns out that they do not store their decks near anything that smell and so far all their products are fragrance free. That's just awesome news for me. Will be doing some serious shopping later.. ;D

Enjoy your shopping :) Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Raggydoll Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 CharlotteK: Yeah she stocks the most gorgeous decks. Luckily I did some successful money manifestation this last full moon so now I was able to go a bit crazy and buy most things from my wish list. Sure felt good with some retail therapy ;D

I'm really looking forward to hearing about your purchases :) Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Page of Ghosts Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 So good that you got it all figured out! Beth usually answers any silly question I have pretty fast too. I'm pretty broke untill the 19th so I really hope she still has the Circo Tarot in stock until then - I thought it was gone for good the 1st time I came upon it and now I can't wait to get the new edition - it's so colourful and nice :D
Raggydoll Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 CharlotteK: He he he, it would be a looong list to name everything I bought (actually placed two separate orders cause some things were on pre-order, like circo tarot). I will tell you that I bought Pagan Otherworlds as well, plus sasuraibito, tarot of the Crone, Pythia botanica oracle and *cough* some other things as well :-[ ;D :-X
Flaxen Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I also have a long list of decks I'd like to buy from Little Red. I recently got the Earthbound Oracle which is gorgeously illustrated and easy to read intuitively. From the tarot decks, top of my list are Prisma Visions and the Wooden Tarot.

I actually bought a couple of oracle decks thinking I will expand more in that direction as well. Have not been using oracle decks that much up until now (and really don't have that many in my collection either) so it will be nice to try. I got the 'creatures of the moon' and the 'green wheel' oracle cause I like how they are nature based and it feels like I can learn from them (as well as divine with them, hopefully)

I bought the Pythia Botanica from there earlier in the year and they work well in a daily draw or as a supplementary message to another deck. The trouble with a deck buying hiatus is that the catch-up proves to be expensive! ;D
Raggydoll Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 The trouble with a deck buying hiatus is that the catch-up proves to be expensive! ;D Yeah, I try not to make up too strict rules for myself cause that is generally what happens. Instead I cut back on everything that feels unnecessary to me so that I have more money towards the things I really enjoy (and not buying candy, soda, junk food, glossy magazines or whatever can be very beneficial on many other levels as well :D)
gregory Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I love the fact that there is a way to avoid the £8 the post office charged to collect tiny amounts of VAT due on decks from the US. So Little Red is a godsend. And Page of Ghosts[/member] - I bet she'd hold you a copy....

And yes she really is :) I wonder if she knows quite how much her services are appreciated... though all the repeat business should be a good indication! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Audelia Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I LOVE Little Red Tarot! Honestly, it's such a fantastic way to get great US decks without the huge customs charge that seems to be custom here in Ireland.

She might but I'm too shy to ask :-[ I think she said on instagram that she's planning on having it in her regular selection so there's hope for me still!
