The Minchiate Al Cigno is a will-buy. I'm also currently exploring the Anglo system, and since I adore Costa's aesthetic, I might also get the Tarot of Traditions.

All their other 2023 offerings leave me cold, though I'm mighty curious about their Le Jeu du Destin Antique.

I have the US Games, plaid back, blank ones (had grand plans to do a thing but lost interest). It's their usual, quality cardstock.

I think a lot of the first tarot I saw were a harken back to the early days of their decks, created for their artwork.

The tarot of traditions up my ally though.

Same with the wanders tarot

The longest dream looks ok.

The de la unit lenormand be on my wish list!

I'm so curious on the de la nuit lenormand as well it seems beautiful fun fact i was looking at a dantes deck or referred to dante and i was really wishing for a dantes inferno deck and here it is 😅 so I'm definitely gonna keep my eye on that one too i also like the concept of visions of duality i do like and connect with light and dark decks i find the Marseille book interesting so far and maybe helpful i guess as it seems though and can't wait for the empress talisman others i may see if i like them when i see a flip through or something i guess

Hmmm. My course Yoga of Tarot was copywritten in 2018-19. I pitched them a proposal in 2020 and they passed ... but I see their 2023 catalog has "The Yoga Tarot" deck. Ouch.

Different from my concept ... and they have very kindly let me use their artwork on my website ... so good on them.

I suppose it shouldn't feel this way. I got the title idea from Frawley's Ayurveda book The Yoga of Herbs ... i'm not so brilliantly original either. *sigh*.

I liked the Traditions deck ... it reminds me of Mystic Tarot. Egyptian At Nouveau is also lovely. I think i might be done with deck aquisitions for a while, though. My collection really grew when I moved ... and now I think i need to digest the decks I have and maybe figure out what is the "right size" for a collection to be.

The USG one is certainly legit - but how non-legit can blank cards be ?

Their Yoga Tarot was first published in 2008 (I own it, and bought it back then), and this is a revamp of that - so that's a little unfair - they already had one published when you pitched.

I think i may end up getting the Egyptian art nouveau at some point too cause i like art nouveau decks and Egypt themed decks and anything Egyptian in general from a lil but i think my eye is more on their nefertari tarot rn for my first Egyptian deck i have quite a list though 😅

@gregory i think it really depends from the manufacturer cause I'm looking for tarot quality blank decks not too thin or like carton us games is a publisher i trust thought

Does anybody here own the Lo Scarabeo version of Tarot of the 78 Doors?  I have a copy of the deck I bought years ago, I think on eBay, that turns out to be unusable as the card stock is horrifically bad.  It came in a foldover box that actually fell apart when I tried to open it. The card stock is just thin, matte-surfaced cardboard, does NOT shuffle well at all, as the cards stick together, bend and crease, etc. I'm now convinced this was one of those cheapo rip-off decks from China that are NOT from the original publisher.  (I remember it was quite inexpensive, which is why I took a chance on it—this was before I knew better.)

I LOVE the imagery and would certainly use the deck if I had a quality version of it.  Does the Lo Scarabeo version meet the card stock quality we need to actually use a deck?
