Aliki Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 As a lo scarabeo girl 😅 i rushed to find the catalogue on their upcoming decks for 2023 so here you go  Lo Scarabeo Catalogue 2023
Guest Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 The Minchiate Al Cigno is a will-buy. I'm also currently exploring the Anglo system, and since I adore Costa's aesthetic, I might also get the Tarot of Traditions.  All their other 2023 offerings leave me cold, though I'm mighty curious about their Le Jeu du Destin Antique.

I definitely have some on my wishlist already i do like the diy one too though I'm such a sucker for these cause i can write my own and options like sign planet yes no etc like the black and white rws diy one they feel more personalizedÂ

I have the US Games, plaid back, blank ones (had grand plans to do a thing but lost interest). It's their usual, quality cardstock.

HOLMES Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 I think a lot of the first tarot I saw were a harken back to the early days of their decks, created for their artwork.  The tarot of traditions up my ally though.  Same with the wanders tarot  The longest dream looks ok.  The de la unit lenormand be on my wish list!  Â

Misterei Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Hmmm. My course Yoga of Tarot was copywritten in 2018-19. I pitched them a proposal in 2020 and they passed ... but I see their 2023 catalog has "The Yoga Tarot" deck. Ouch. Â Different from my concept ... and they have very kindly let me use their artwork on my website ... so good on them. Â I suppose it shouldn't feel this way. I got the title idea from Frawley's Ayurveda book The Yoga of Herbs ... i'm not so brilliantly original either. *sigh*. Â I liked the Traditions deck ... it reminds me of Mystic Tarot. Egyptian At Nouveau is also lovely. I think i might be done with deck aquisitions for a while, though. My collection really grew when I moved ... and now I think i need to digest the decks I have and maybe figure out what is the "right size" for a collection to be. Â

Ouch.  Their Yoga Tarot was first published in 2008 (I own it, and bought it back then), and this is a revamp of that - so that's a little unfair - they already had one published when you pitched.

Chariot Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) Does anybody here own the Lo Scarabeo version of Tarot of the 78 Doors?  I have a copy of the deck I bought years ago, I think on eBay, that turns out to be unusable as the card stock is horrifically bad.  It came in a foldover box that actually fell apart when I tried to open it. The card stock is just thin, matte-surfaced cardboard, does NOT shuffle well at all, as the cards stick together, bend and crease, etc. I'm now convinced this was one of those cheapo rip-off decks from China that are NOT from the original publisher.  (I remember it was quite inexpensive, which is why I took a chance on it—this was before I knew better.) I LOVE the imagery and would certainly use the deck if I had a quality version of it.  Does the Lo Scarabeo version meet the card stock quality we need to actually use a deck? Edited July 17, 2023 by Chariot
gregory Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 I have it; the card quality is typical LoS. I use it from time to time - no problem. Still easily and reasonably available from them so probably everywhere. AND there's a 20% discount just now...
