I have used "losarcanos.com" I think most of the readings are very accurate. It's not an app, but he used a couple of decks in there and it seems pretty accurate most of the time. But the downside is the lack of human feedback.

In surprising news, there has been news from Galaxy Tone that makes Galaxy Tarot, it's going to have a forthcoming update and redesign!

It's only on Android and is the RWS deck main app. I think I decided that development had ended some time ago, as the company had gone silent.

We've been working hard behind the scenes to get ready for an exciting update this fall. We know you've been waiting a long time and we're really looking forward to showing you what we've been working on!

Here’s a little of what you can expect:

A New Look: The app will have a clean, modern design, making it even easier and faster to navigate. It's the same Galaxy Tarot you appreciate, but with a fresh twist.

Detailed Card Descriptions: We’re adding all new card descriptions, both upright and reversed. Expect to find new affirmations, personality traits, and actionable advice to help guide your tarot journey.

Cloud-Synced Journal: Your personal reflections and insights are important, and our improved journal feature will make sure they're safe and accessible whenever you need them.

We're saying goodbye to a few older features to make room for these improvements, but we're keeping the essence of the classic Waite-Smith deck, merging tradition with 21st-century updates.

Someone asked in the comments what older features are going and they replied....

"We are streamlining the look and won't be having all the different backgrounds and card backs in the Pro version, we're also tightening up the associations, doing away with runes, crystals, chakras, and I Ching to make it a better Waite-Smith app with more esoteric integrity. The astrology, numerology and symbols will stay and be better than ever!"

 

Also their roadmap is when this big update is out, they will then work on an iOS release of it 🙂

same here, I feel a bit sad but not quite sure how they have associations for crystals, runes or I Ching. Like what is the system for them with tarot 🤷‍♂️

There will still be the symbols analysis, astrology, etc

This is such fine news. I use the old galaxy tarot app, as it transferred over for me to my new phone. This should be good.

You cannot currently download it unfortunately. Just ghosting on current phones and tablets. At least, not for android.

Well that's not good. (I'm an Android user.) Good thing I have it downloaded already!

It's possible they have stopped new downloads until the new version and hidden it for new people for now.

Hopefully the new upgrade will be soon. I was looking and the last update was 2017! Some phones and screen sizes cannot load it and that will be fixed in this version.

The Galaxy Tarot update is now out, if you don't want to update make sure you turn off auto update under it's app entry in the store.

 

Mine updated last night automatically. The cards are more beautiful than before, better images. 

 

However the thing that annoyed me is that it's become a free tier and a pro tier with annual subscription. Becareful of upgrading for that reason!

 

In the past I paid a one off price to buy the pro version with more features. This is being honoured, I get one year free. But after that it's showing up for me as £23 a year in the UK on the Play store. I don't mind a one off pro cost but I feel they are using the app to get regular money.

 

The free app will have adverts. The Pro app has no ads and also you get your journal and writings on each card and spread library saves in a cloud. I think they had that function before but you gave your own cloud storage login. 

 

I know cloud storage costs money, we have to pay for hosting and bandwidth for this site. But my negative take is it feels like a subscription trap. Big update but to make people regularly give them money. Maybe that is unfair and this will pay for storage and app development but I feel this is the real reason the app has been upgraded 🤷‍♂️

Labyrinthos hands down. I love the widgets on my Home Screen, the lessons and quizzes to learn, the option to do a daily draw either virtually on the app or physically, both of which save to your journal, etc. I love the color scheme and navigation, as well. It’s just neat!
