Hello everyone, I am 60 years old and hearing impaired since birth. Decided to learn Tarot cards just a few weeks ago after receiving Tarot Del Toro deck that I really love, so at the moment I am completely lost with how to read these cards.

first time I saw Tarot card readings was in the James Bond movie Live and Let Die. So I have always been curious about it.

Thank you for this Forum

Hello and welcome just try to study the traditional meanings and your decks meanings but don't force them when you read just hear your intuition how you feel as well when you see a card appearing and you'll ace tarot soon it's a really exciting and fun journey when you start Tarot just make sure you also enjoy it and have some fun during it ☺️

Thanks for the tips. I was hoping to hear from other people who have the same deck so that it can help improve intuitions. Such as the tools surrounding the creature. Thanks again

Born hearing impaired in 1962, 60 yrs old now, and began life with little to no social skills.

Started Tarot card as a way to improve my story telling skills, not easy.

My routine begins with putting hearing devices on and begin to sing my Tibetan singing bowl to clear my mind. Open Del Toro original box to remove guidebook and the cards. First shuffling overhand a few times, riffle shuffle, and lastly overhand again. A lot of shuffling. Sometimes cut the deck.

Without looking at the back of deck I remove three cards placing them face down.

Hi @Madkiki62 I've moved your other thread into this one because we tend to have one intro thread per person. So just moved it into here and it provides more context about yourself and how you do a reading

Hi! I’m new also and hope I can get some info on how to interpret the cards. Its confusing because the cards have their meanings but everyone has their own interpretations, its all very subjective.

Yep, exactly, but then there is my personality on my everyday use of language that makes me who I am today.

When I first began learning the Tarot, I bought many books. Every time I did a reading, I'd pull out 3-4 different books to try and interpret it, yet I still ended up confused. I now own 13 books on the Tarot, but I only use one: Tarot Plain and Simple. It breaks down the Tarot into keywords, key phrases, situations/advice - and the card itself as a person, both upright and reversed. If only this had been the first book I bought! @Madkiki62@Lalah

I’m going to look for the book you mentioned, thank you for sharing the info!😃 @italktarot
