Wish list

What are your most sought after decks? Is there a thread like that? Even if there is our wish list changes from time to time. I only mean those decks that you are prepared (at least spiritually and you'd even make some sacrifices if it would be necessary to get them) (so I don't mean those decks that you think oh it would be nice to have them (theoretically) but you don't actually try to get them.

 

Mine are:

Terracotta tarot

Solara Occulto first or second edition

The Little Monsters tarot - which I added to my wish list just recently. I never would've imagined that I'd like this deck so much; I've seen it on youtube and I also printed out a few cards from different sources to get a feel of them -and now I can't live without this deck!!! (and since I didn't find it yet -although I have some hope for it - at least I write about it!)

I'd try to get them, but I have limits in what I am able to spend - mine are:

 

Stella's Tarot and Spolia Tarot.

 

I try to find them for reasonable prices, whatever that means.

Adding to the Belline I mentioned in the other thread: just a few years ago I had a horror decks phase, but somehow I missed out on the Bohemian Gothic. It seems like it's about to get a reprint this year though, so that's one major deck off my wish list. 

 

I'm also mighty curious about the Enochian Tarot.

I'm still in my horror decks phase! I think the one I'm most desperate to find is the Vintage Horror Tarot (Jessica DeFelice) from 2016. I've reached out to the creator on her socials, emailed stores that stocked it, and placed a few ISO ads, but no luck so far. I did manage to acquire five cards from a horror movie collectible card trader, but that's as close as I've gotten.

 

I've seen exactly one copy come up for sale on eBay, and unfortunately the auction was live while I was in the middle of a hiking/camping trip. I spent as long as I could hanging around the Visitor's Center trying to use their spotty wifi connection to bid, but I had to leave for the trailhead before the auction ended... so of course my highest bid was beaten by one dollar. Oh, the injustice of it all!

 

The other OOP horror-adjacent decks I'd love to find are:

• Skele-Tarot (Stephanie Mayton)
• Movie Monster Tarot (Samantha Kocsis)
• Spooky Cats Tarot (James Battersby)
• Yokai/Monster Tarot (Takeshi Ogasawara)

... and, of course, the non-horror decks:

• New Tarot (Hurley)
• Tarot of Frown Strong
• Tarocco del Carnevale di Venezia (Folchi/Italcards)

I remain eternally optimistic!

I'm after the same old ones as before, nothing lately I've seen grabs me

I have mainly 4 decks on my wishlist I’d like to get someday. There are others, but these are the top 4.

Piatnik Wien Pointer tarot

This is OOP and is a little pricey to get but I love the colors and patterns and it just looks fun. Right now the Sakki-Sakki is filling that niche for me, so I’m not in a rush.

 

The Majestic Earth tarot.

This is also OOP and last I checked the website wasn’t working anymore. 😞 Maybe someday. I have the Naturescapes tarot for now.

 

Really want this one. Bobby and Meimei Hamster tarot. It looks hilarious! I couldn’t find a picture of the 8 of Wands but it makes me laugh.

The Apparition tarot. I hope this doesn’t go OOP before I have a chance to get it. Not 100% sure how it would read for me and it seems large so that’s probably why I hesitated to get it in the past. But it looks gorgeous and interesting.

Wow. I've never seen this Piatnic Pointer deck. Thanks for sharing.  I Love it. LOL but I don't know if I love it $250+ 

 

I have no wishlist for tarots.

My collection is complete vis a vis having all the decks i "need" to do my job. Plus many which are--lets face it--a grownup version of toys i like to play with.

I purchase decks as they strike my fancy. Which is now rare as i live in a small space and the collection must fit on one bookcase. If the case gets too cluttered, then decks get donated or sold away.

A few decks in my collection I will call "Quest Decks". I wanted them--they were difficult to obtain and so had somewhat of a "quest" to find them.

Haha, that’s how I feel about it. Gorgeous but way too damn expensive!

I feel similarly about my collection right now. I’m satisfied with how it is at the moment. Plus, my little cabinet-shelf area is a little crowded for space. I haven’t bought a deck in 2-3 years. Before everything caught my eye and glittered with possibility, but now I’m like “…that’s nice….pass.”
