Tarot Cards as Locations in a Reading

NOT COMPLETED

NOTE

Today in the morning I've just created a twin flame spread where I have a question about the location and where I can find my twin flame. So I did some research and I'd like to share my findings with those who'd benefit from this spread. Later I'll link this thread to the spread later. Also there's some cards in this thread that currently don't have any locations so any info about possible locations and places for the cards are welcome if you wish to share your insight. While these cards will show locations within the world like countries if you want something more specific like a shop in a town/city.

So hopefully this thread will be useful to anyone who's looking for a lost item/person, a possible holiday location and etc. Blessings and enjoy!

Such a lovely topic as someone who loves multiple types of meanings in tarot i love the placement meanings

This is really interesting, I've never thought about using the cards for finding things! If I'm understanding correctly, these locations aren't drawn from a specific interpretation of a card, but more from the imagery on the cards themselves, is that right?

Whoops! Realized a bit belatedly the thread is a few years old... hope the question is still relevant!! 😖

Don’t worry about resurrecting old threads. The thread starter isn’t here anymore, but I’m sure others will find this interesting!

Thank you for confirming that, I was worried! I got to thinking about what the post contained and didn't even think to check the date. 😅 But it's definitely an interesting topic, I would think especially depending on the deck you're using!

This reminds me, for Stella’s simple tarot there is a list of locations associated with each of the majors, called ‘lucky spots’. The list is rather unusual, and I am not sure it resonates with me. For instance, the Fool has ‘silver jewelry store, basement wine bar, department store basement’. It might be based on astrology somehow, because the creator is an astrologer.

Oh, interesting... I'll have to look that up. Those examples seem so specific to me, I bet the breakdown on how the locations were assigned would be quite the read. Is it common for astrology to be combined with tarot for these kinds of things?

The tarot do have specific astrology placements for example the most known is that major arcana cards have specific associations to the planets lights and signs same with the minor arcana but the major associations are most known and i can say classic but for example even if a pip card is associated with a sign it can represent another sign of its element according to intuition of the reader and the signs associated on the other cards in that reading or another card in that reading associated specific to that sign personally i combine my readings with all the above it helps me recognise ppl in them and makes my readings more specific easy to read and accurate but other readers can read easier and more accurate by relating the pip cards to their energies instead of ppl it really depends by the reader "style" of the reader and his perception of each card and intuition thought

But if your question was associated to rws style decks combined to astrology in the cards there's at least one deck i remember on the market

But there are specific signs and planets lights associated to the cards regardless of the above and as well on astrology the signs and houses represent from what I've known so far several places in general and spaces of the home too so there's probably a possibility on that if you think of the above it's quite interesting cause both practices can combine and are associated together tarot and astrology some have standard associations too like tarot but it mostly depends on the practitioner/astrologer as well cause everyone's spiritual practice is different so not everyone associate them/combine them together

I'm not sure about that deck though cause it definitely had several other things on the cards too like meanings etc yes no meaning too besides just sign and planet but i cannot remember if it has others like locations etc

Ah, I see... so when you're layering astrology and tarot it's giving you more information on the things you intuit and clarification on who is being referred to, that's really cool! I like the idea of using the cards to this kind of specificity, it seems like it would add a lot to a reading if you know the cards can actually pinpoint locations. Did you start your practice with astrology first and then added tarot to the mix, or did you start with tarot and then add astrology later?

I actually first started studying astrology at a young age and then later i got into tarot watching readings learning about them in general slowly by time until i got my first decks during 2020 so i knew some associations to the signs and planets on tarot already i learned about the rest of them while i was studying more deeply the general and several others and types of meanings of rws so i think i combined them quite early in my readings at least after i figured how to do them and learned the basics built a core knowledge i was always considering the elements of the pips as the signs they represent from my very first readings thought
