Miko134 Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Nice to meet you all. I’m 32 year old, female, UK. Similar to many of you guys, I’m introverted and socially awkward. However, I do have an intense need to connect with other people, and I would like to improve my social skills, especially when it comes to talking to authority figures. Having studied books on how to build social connections in the real world, I decided to turn to Tarot to help guide me in these areas. Any advice you could offer would be fantastic, as I am a complete newbie. Thank you!
DanielJUK Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Welcome to our community @Miko134 😀 We are a friendly and safe place and so do feel free to post and join in . If you feel you want to later, we have exchanges and monthly exchanges with other members which are quite social, you talk about it together but there is no pressure to join them. It's available on the forum and you can access those areas after getting to 5 posts. The Newbies Circle is great for beginners and is very gentle 🙂 . If you want some tarot resources, I think this is a wonderful thread of free online learning resources....
Nemia Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Welcome! That's actually a great motivation, and I hope the cards can help you. Improving your tarot skills can impact your self confidence, and that's always a good thing. Also: you can use cards as affirmation tools. So if you have an unpleasant meeting with an authority figure scheduled, get to know the card better that you associate with that figure (Emperor?), and find a counter-player (High Priestess? Sun? Star?). Let the counter-player card teach you how to deal with that encounter, whatever card you feel could be useful. You may even take the card with you, or a symbol taken from it, to remind you of the fact that quiet people have great inner power, and being socially awkward often means that you're an acute observer or have lots of empathy. These are good traits. You can really work with that.
