Reconnecting with my favourite obsession

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm Simone 👋🏻

I'm living in rural Ireland, coming to terms with being in my forties, and tarot has been part of my witchy/spiritual practice since my early teens. It's floated between vague interest and total obsession on and off since then, but I'm heading back into an obsession phase after a pandemic-inspired relocation to the countryside for a slower pace of life and apparently getting on a big hippy 'finding myself' vibe.

I've never been part of a tarot community before, so I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and geeking out about cards with you.

Welcome. I have refused to come to terms with any age in particular, but I'm now almost out of my 70s. It's fine - don't even think about age !

This is the perfect attitude to have and most definitely what I'm aiming for. Thanks for the warm welcome 😊

Thanks! It's my favourite time of day and my favourite incense.

I too love the smell of cinnamon. I am not an early riser but if I get up before sunrise, I have to admit it is a special time of the day 😉

It's really nice finding any kind of online community where I don't feel ancient compared to most other people who are part of it. I appreciate this place so much already!

Welcome! It’s lovely to meet you 😀

Welcome! I can totally relate to having periods of obsession with the subject and then those interests dipping for a while, so you’re definitely not alone there 😄

@Raggydoll and @Mirath, thanks for the lovely welcome! I thought I'd turned off email notifications, but I seem to have turned of ALL notifications and only just saw your replies. I can't believe how friendly everyone here is so far 😊

LOTS of us are WAY older than you. Honest !

Rural Ireland. You'll probably turn out to be one of my SO's relatives - he KEEPS finding more - and it all started in rural Co Antrim... (well, that's where the family grave is, AFAIK. I lost the plot while we were visiting some of the diaspora in Australia; certainly a family farm was lost to Belfast Airport....)
