Chariot Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) Okay. Just broke down and ordered the 200-card Tea Leaf Tarot, by Rae Hepburn—which I definitely didn't 'need'. It should arrive in the next couple of days. I find the concept intriguing and the individual round cards potentially quite helpful and specific. Once I discovered the cards can be shuffled inside a bag, the whole problem of how to shuffle 200 round cards became quite easy to solve. So hey-ho. A treat for myself. We await developments. DanielJUK Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 It's a really interesting oracle to have in your collection. According to the info about it, it's superb for calendar readings (like for the months / year ahead).
Chariot Posted March 8 Posted March 8 My Tea Leaf Tarot just arrived ...a day early. Oh goodie. I'm off to unbox it and see what to make of it.

Nemia Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I have ordered four decks for my Taurus birthday, but they'll probably arrive in ca. six weeks... I don't care, I'm used to waiting. The four decks are: Good Fortune Tarot Tarot of Magical Hours Tarot of Oppositions Flowerchild Tarot I'm very excited and happy, and I'll post pictures once they arrive.
KaiNO Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I've recently rediscovered Kickstarter and realized I'd completely forgotten about a project I backed in 2022 🙄 One I never received because shipping hadn't been paid. I took care of that, and yesterday it finally arrived! 🙂 On the left in the picture above, that's The Light in the Mist - A Tarot Puzzletale from Kickstarter. On the right side of the photo, that's something else that arrived same day, some astrology reference cards I got from Etsy. I plan to use them like flashcards to help me memorize and better remember the meanings of different astrological elements. Here are a few more pictures: Otherwise, I keep seeing so many beautiful tarot decks I'd love to have, including one of those you mentioned above, @Nemia. But now I have to restrain myself🤞 I’m still waiting to receive: - The Tarot of Secrets - The MicroCosmic Oracle

Nemia Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Really? That's fantastic, how do you like them? Did you write about them? I must have missed it.

Good Fortune Tarot This is an overall good workhorse deck. I'm always looking for well done Rider Waite clones for if I am working with a group and want to give everybody their own deck to use. I like the art and the use of different motifs throughout such as owls and bees. Except almost all of the people look as though they have swallowed something very unpleasant. Weird facial expressions. I'm not a big Barbara Moore fan. We have very different takes on many cards -- it's a nice big detailed guidebook. 2. Tarot of Magical Hours The premise behind this deck is fascinating. The idea is that different cards fall into different parts of the day and that these different parts of the day carry special meanings. In actuality this premise is just not well developed. I like the art. It is a little dark, but really pretty and unique. I like that most of the figures are female or ambi.
Tanga Posted April 20 Posted April 20 (edited) Oooh - some interesting decks to look at & read about here... By chance I discovered that Phyllis Curott (Years ago I read her book "Book of Shadows" and was inspired) produced a Tarot and Oracle deck a couple of years ago. So, I'm waiting for that. Not the 1st deck I've purchased purely due to association with the author. It's the Witches' Wisdom Tarot & Witches' Wisdom Oracle. I'm curious...🧐 Edited April 20 by Tanga

Marina Posted Friday at 05:37 PM Posted Friday at 05:37 PM The postman just brought me a 1970 Morgan Press Aquarian Tarot! I missed this deck. I sold mine during a complicated time in my life where I got rid of a lot of my stuff… but I regretted letting go of my Aquarian. I found it in an online platform here where people sell second hand clothes and stuff. It was fairly cheap, considering how absurdly expensive decks (old and new!) have become here.
Toreador Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I just bought the True Black Tarot and its twin, the Ephemere Tarot. They are so much better in the flesh. Their aesthetic, systems, material - all first-rate. What truly sparked my interest is how their respective trumps plumb the traditional Fool's Journey of modern Tarot and the Hero's Journey by Campbell. I was considering purchasing Arthur's Deck of Many Things too, with its art that far exceeds this duo's. Thing is, its divinatory system is basically nonexistent, and its very box indicates a future expansion. I'll be keeping an eye on it.
