If I ever see one I want to get a copy too The 36 card version is currently available on amazon in the UK, not sure about other countries... But if you google "Piatnik Wahrsagekarten" I'm sure you'll find it easily 😊 Unfortunately the 52 card version is OOP so it's much harder to find, but they do appear on ebay every now and then, so keep an eye out!

It's a lovely deck, and there's cross over between it and sibilla cards so the when you learn one, the other becomes very easy 😊 This sounds very promising, indeed.
Scarlett Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 I'm waiting for M.M. Meleen's Pharos Majors-Only Tarot and matching paperback book. I spent some time trying to decide which edition to get: borderless or black bottom-border. The pros of the black border are that they include Roman numerals and the words are printed in Golden Dawn colors. The con is the black borders cover up the artwork. After going back and forth on it, I decided on the borderless version because I want to be able to see the full artwork of each card. I think once I get really familiar with the cards, I'll know what the Roman numerals are anyway.

Chiming in again, because I have this (borderless) and didn't know I would use a majors-only deck this often. The lighthouse theme is cohesive, and I get a lot out of it. The book not only details reasons for each card's part of the lighthouse, but has info on the color scales that Meleen had written a little about before. (You can tell she's passionate about it. You don't create a majors-only deck to get rich quick. 😉😅)
Guest Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 (edited) Received my very first Insight Edition decks, and it's a twosome. I seem to have developed a hankering for dark decks. The Necronomicon is the first Lovecraftian deck I'll be working with. And Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the third vampire deck I've purchased this year. I'll let you guess what kind of novels I'm immersed in now lol. I sorta had a childhood crush on Buffy Summers, so yes this deck is a keeper heh. I remember when I first discovered Cruel Intentions. I was like 🤯 One thing though - I love how the creator chose Buffy as The Emperor, and not as The Fool or whatever. Seems like she is more than casually familiar with the Buffyverse and that her knowledge of the Tarot is not surface-level only. Ordered the Tarot V as my fourth vampire Tarot for 2024 (surprise, surprise). It will be coming from a nearby country though, so it should arrive around next week or so. Eugenie Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 @Akhilleus, congratulations! They are beautiful and unusual! The Necronomicon deck looks like something I might want to own and use later. Creepy in the good way!
Guest Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Lol thanks @Eugenie! I think that aesthetically-speaking this is the best Lovecraftian deck. The guidebook does leave quite a bit to be desired though. Not really a surprise if one is to be compared to an occult scholar like Donald Tyson.
Scarlett Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 I've been wanting this one for a while, especially the book. Scheduled to arrive on Thursday. And then I'll stop buying decks this year. 🤣🤣🤣

It's #243 out of 247, so I guess they're almost sold out. Like you, I didn't know I would like a majors-only deck so much. I couldn't put it down last night!
legendaryelement Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 I haven’t posted any mail acquisitions lately because my money has been going to games - card & board - as well as Lego sets. Also, I’ve been trying to support my local stores as sources. (and none of them are doing tarot decks)
MichaelH Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I've not ordered any new decks for a while until the last couple of days when I succumbed to temptation and ordered two. The first is the In Between Tarot. I like the art that I have seen and it is certainly different to any other deck that I have. And the second is the We Are One deck from this forum. I've been looking at the images and hesitated for a while as with shipping costs it is quite expensive but then I just ordered it this morning 🙂
gregory Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 My Paw of Light arrived today. Not unwrapped yet - I'm SAVING it for later !
Sar Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I am not waiting for anything except money to afford new decks.
Nemia Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 My Painted Tarot is still waiting for me in my mother's house. Couldn't make it for Christmas... but for Easter, I'll go there and I know what the Easter Rabbit will bring me! Can't wait!!!
Libra 58 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 My latest: The Triple Goddess Tarot. "Helande Orakel kort. " (Original: The Law of Positivism Healing Oracle.) For the Love of Dragons Oracle Deck. Disney Villains Tarot. Tarot of the Sidhe.
Eugenie Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 (edited) Oh wow, my Darkness of Light has arrived! It is a lovely deck, shuffles in the most smooth way, lovely to the touch, and of course it looks stunning. Interestingly enough, it is an "as is" deck but I could not find any issues there. I also received a full sized Centennial RWS, great for learning, and an Expansion Pack to the Spacious Tarot. Edited January 24, 2024 by Eugenie

Never played collectible card games before, but I looked into this *ahem* magical one because of the uber-decadent art in their vampire precons and whew! A single decent card to upgrade your deck with can easily cost as much as your average Tarot deck. Liked it so much. This is a splendid choice @Eugenie.
Tom Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 @Eugenie I just looked at my centennial RWS deck recently. It's a great package. I think this set will bring collectible in the future, so I'm not going to actually use the deck of cards for readings. I've never read The Pictorial Guide the To The Tarot, but I bought a copy of the book before I got the boxed set.
Guest Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 @Tom Are you referring to the Pamela Colman Smith Commemorative Set? I have that too. The deck there is basically the same as the Centennial although i do remember some trifling differences.
Eugenie Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 @Akhilleus, @Tom, thank you! I just have the Centennial (full and pocket size), I didn't buy the Commemorative because, truth be told, I thought the book would be wasted. I only wanted the decks. Love the decks and use them all the time!
Tom Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 @Akhilleusyes the Pamela Coleman Smith Commemorative Set.
Tom Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I am getting the Pisma Visions Tarot which is going to be release next month and the Cosma Visions Oracle as well. I'm very excited about these decks because they are really unique: https://prismavisions.com/ They are done in an Impressionist Painting style are absolutely gorgeous.

Eugenie Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 ...The postman will be bringing these, but not very soon - it is a long way from the US. I have been wanting the Little Czech Oracle for a while but was unwilling to order from the Baba Store for logistical reasons (my personal ones). So I ended up buying this lot. It is a lot of decks, but it is okay, the two RWS decks will go to my daughter and sister, the Oracle is mine... and I am a bit unsure about the Tarot of the Spirit but I think it can be sold or gifted, or maybe someone in the family will keep it. It all cost me about 40 dollars with shipping and I needed the RWS decks anyway, my daughter only has a couple of fancy decks, not ideal for learning.

I’m curious to hear tour thoughts when it arrives. What a nice way to share with family - I agree about the other decks not being easy to learn with. I had to have at least one true RWS to really understand what so many of the books teach. i have the ‘imperfect’ Darkness of Light deck arriving tomorrow and yesterday I received the Journey to Oz and Wonderland deck. I’ve been wanting an Alice and an Oz deck for quite awhile now I have it all in one - even better.
