I finally caved an ordered the Retro Impressions RWS deck from Tevada. I kept waffling, finally caved. I know, I know, I need another RWS clone like I need a hole in my head, but I've been liking lighter, brighter decks of late.

I've been doing quite well resisting buying new decks the past few months, apart from the 2nd printing of the Lilifer on KS and maybe ermmm the Bohemian Gothic (thanks FOMO! Uh!), I just ordered the Radiant Tarot by Alexandra Eldritch and Tony Barnstone. I got a bit intrigued by a review by Benebel Wen, I had a crap week and needed a pick me up. Should arrive soon... we'll see...

My three latest: "Golden Tarot of Klimt".

"Dragon Tarot" by Anne Stokes.

"Tarot of the Owls" by Elisabeth Alba and Pamela Chen.

I've got the Serpent and the Peacock Tarot - Art Version (did I mentioned it before?). I'm impressed with how good the book is. Up to the point and helpful to better connect with the images of the cards.

I've also got the RainShadow tarot, very artistic.

And finally my gem: the Tigger tarot, mixed media deck, original, expressive and magical. Great cardstock, Some pictures:

Awaiting The Touchstone Tarot which I ordered (on impulse) after seeing it mentioned here on the forum, then watching a flip-through on YouTube.  Wow.  That looks like a magnificent deck in the RWS system.  It's not supposed to arrive till the end of the month, though.  Patience, patience....

Just hit the Llewellyn tarot sale.  (It ends tomorrow, August 16.)  I ordered:

Crystal Tarot, Elisabetta Trevisan.  I had it long ago and was disappointed with the strange pip minors, but now I'm back for the beauty.  Maybe I can read with just majors or majors and courts.

Tarot I Naibi di Giovanni Vacchetta, Lo Scarabeo Anima Antiqua, which is a sepia monotone version.  I have the Lo Scarabeo Tarot of the Master and Il Meneghello color versions (different color schemes), but hey . . .

Cards of Transformation, Lo Scarabeo.  I swear I'm not collecting transformation cards!  I promise!

And two books, The Marseille Tarot Revealed by Yoav Ben-Dov (I have the earlier version, Tarot:  The Open Reading, on my Kindle, but it's not working for me) and 365 Tarot Spreads by Sasha Graham, which I think I might need for my decks of the week readings in 2024.

I'm about to click buy on Amazon for another book, Untold Tarot: The Lost Art of Reading Ancient Tarot by Caitlín Matthews.  (You're seeing a trend here aren't you?)

And I'm awaiting one Kickstarter, two versions of the same deck, Feel Your Chakras Oracle and Feel Your Chakras Oracle Midnight Edition.

And that's enough!  But then I never feel at ease unless I have decks coming in the mail!

Can't buy decks (yet!) because of a binding vow. I can buy books though, and I've always had my eye on The Game of Saturn by Adams, so yeah.

Indeed; I now have them all unpacked and in a box ready to scan and catalogue - but  we have company on the way, so I can't actually unbox and look at the cards yet. The frustration is extreme. But I HAVE A TERRACOTTA !

Lol I was able to find a US shop through which I can purchase the paperback for almost a hundred dollars all in including overseas shipping, customs, etc. A bit extravagant so I hope it will be worth it (crossing my fingers!).

ty, it did!! Sadly the box is a little small for the cards, so I might have to make one of my own for a better fit, but the deck is SO lovely I don't actually care too much. I'll drop a post into unboxing soon!

It is actually. I got the paperback too - it's still massive - in the UK - mercifully for less than that, though I actually cannot remember where !

Jackpot today!  My Touchstone Tarot by Kat Black arrived, as well as my Lilac and Cherry Lenormand companion decks.  Just looking through them now.

I think My Touchstone Tarot is just about the most elegant deck I own.  I truly love it already, but I'm afraid it's going to be difficult for me to use, due to its large-sized cards.  They don't lend themselves to modification, because they have lovely gilded edges I wouldn't want to disturb.  But they are 5.25 inches by 3.75 inches (13.5cm x9.5cm) ...which is a bit large ...and a fair amount of that size is unnecessary plain brown border. Dang.  I WISH card designers would stop publishing so many large decks!  I can hardly wait to try them out, though. They are truly beautiful, and—except for the size and plain brown borders—are very well thought-out.

The double Lilac/Cherry Lenormand deck is a real departure for me.  Doubles the possible interactions and interpretations, as the two sets of cards have slightly different pictures on them (red lilies/white lilies, calm bear/angry bear, tower in disrepair/tower in very good shape, young woman/old woman, fish in large pond/fish in small bowl, etc.  It appears to be a Russian-designed deck, by Berenika, with text by L. Kuznetsova-Fetisova, and printed in Russia as well. Unfortunately it's not the best card stock and there is a bit of discolouration along the edges of some of the cards. But never mind ...I think it will be useable.   And interesting to work with.

Can't wait to give both of these decks a try.  I'm a Happy Squirrel indeed! 🙂

Maybe the discoloration will just add to the experience like an old-timey deck would 🙂

Just ordered the "Shaman's Oracle" by Matthews & Kinghan. I hope it will be a good supplement to the Wildwood Tarot.
