EmpyreanKnight Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Its full name is actually the ATA Finest Reflections Readers' Choice Awards. Reflections is the official publication of the American Tarot Association. At the end of last year, they voted on the top three entries for four categories: Tarot-Related Books or Publications; Lenormand or Kipper Decks; Oracle Decks; and Tarot Decks. There are two sets of polls: one for 2017 and one for all-time. HERE are the winners for the cream of the crop of 2017. HERE are those for the best of All Time. So, what do you guys think? Some of the winners are quite shocking or downright meh for me.
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 10, 2018 Author Posted January 10, 2018 OK, it seems like parts of the pages that I linked have some trouble loading. In any case, I'm posting pics of the announcement of winners here:
gregory Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 VERY odd - the images are kind of cut off for me too. But they do seem like VERY strange choices.
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 without the numbers of AT voters behind it, the totals were probably votes from a very small percentage of people.
gregory Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Yeah. I thought as there was a prize involved it could only go to members. But I NEVER take these seriously. Because by my standards they are always wrong ;) Where is the Rosenwald ? The Vice Versa ? to name just a couple. And as for a second edition of an older one - that's just not on.
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 13, 2018 Author Posted January 13, 2018 I was spoilt for choice because 2017 saw a bumper harvest of really good decks like the Santa Muerte, the Vice Versa, the LoS Anima Antiqua line, etc. Some of the winners are just downright :o
