There is very scant info as of now regarding the fourth offering in Lo Scarabeo's Anima Antiqua Line. All I know is that it is an Etteilla deck and that it's most probably the Jeu de La Princesse Tarot.

As per the image, it's scheduled to be released on September 2018. In any case, it's going to be my very first Etteilla, so I'm excited. :)

Anyone who's into Etteilla's system should take a look at it, as I think the Princesse is one of the rarer variations. Since this is an Anima Antiqua, it's as good as in my hands already once it gets released.

I haven't delved into the Etteilla, so I'm just curious if the different variations have contrasting predictive meanings for their cards, or if they all follow Etteilla's book to the letter.

I think you'd like the Egyptian theme of this deck too, whateawhosit. :)

oh, I think you are right, perhaps someday. To be honest I spend so much time studying and drawing my cards I shouldn't be buying myself new decks to never use...  ::)

Still no pre-order available on Amazon. I'll definitely get this one on day one -- I want all the decks from the Anima Antiqua collection!!

I doubt this will be released in September tho, because that's the new release date of the Minchiate Etruria (Anima Antiqua #3)

In a Spanish catalog, I could find these few information:

TAROTS EGYPTIENS

(Código: AA04)

Etteilla, París 1875 ca.

78 naipes, 65x105 mm.

Edición numerada, limitada a

2999 copias. Instrucciones.

Edición multilingüe.

978-886527533-7

Google Translate: Also known as the Princess Tarot, this deck is one of the more beautiful inspired to Estella (Etteilla). The French style of the late nineteenth century is mixed with Egyptian and classic style, while the cards follow the strict meaning that the French occultist gave them.

Oh, no.  :'(

They're done away with the original text that you see on the first link you posted http://eno-tarot.blogspot.com/2013/01/jeu-de-la-princesse-tarot.html?m=1 and gone back to that keywords-in-multiple-languages thing that I thought they'd finally stopped.

I'm going to give it a pass, because it would just irk me every time I looked at it. And it's a shame, such a pretty deck.

Surely someone else will print it as it was meant to be?

ETA: No - wait! The second link is a 1996 LS version. This one coming up looks like it will be done correctly!

In which case yes, I want one.  ;D

I doubt this will be released in September tho, because that's the new release date of the Minchiate Etruria (Anima Antiqua #3)

On Lo Scarabeo 2018 catalog, the release date for the Minchiate is May, and for the Egyptiens is September.

But now the Minchiate is available for pre-order, and the release date is September. At first I thought that they switched the release dates between them, but on Llewellyn the Minchiate is still being advertised as " the third release from Lo Scarabeo's Anima Antiqua collection". And also we can already pre-order the Minchiate, but not the Egyptiens.

So I think that they might have postponed both releases, so the Minchiate would be released in September and the Egyptiens only after that.

I noticed this too. I just hope that both decks would be released this year. :(
