Hello, I joined the forum yesterday. I am an absolute  Tarot newbie. Last year I finally got called to the Tarot. Guess I' m finally more or less ready. I' m still trying to familiarize myself with the meanings of the classic RWS. Doesn't come easy but when something finally catches my attention I dive in deep. I hope to learn here from the forum posts.  It's not my intention to learn to read the cards for others but I want to try and use the tarot as a tool for development of Self.

Welcome to the community @LiLithRed, I love the name! 😀:animated-smileys-signs-085:

People here use tarot in countless different ways that work for them. I think using it for yourself, you can sit with the cards and understand them, whilst also understanding more about yourself.

If you need any more help when learning, this thread has some excellent free online resources to help learning -

Also search this forum and you are welcome to post in any old threads on topics you want to know about or start a new thread to ask any questions / discussions 🙂

Welcome! This is a great resource for you to spend time with.  Here you'll find other newcomers as well as some of us who have been using the cards for many years.  If we added up all our years of study by adding the time each member has spent, you'd find probably hundreds of years of Tarot knowledge here.  Join right in and enjoy!  And remember---there are no stupid questions.  The only stupid ones are the ones not asked.  🙂

Thank you for the welcomes! I'm a bit rusty in my forum skills so I hope I'm doing this right! I just wanted to say that that looks like a juicy thread recommended here so I'll be reading that thread first for sure. 🙂 I use a variation on Lilith in pretty much all my usernames. I read about biblical Adam's first wife Lilith aeons ago and that story has always stayed with me. 🙂

Don’t worry - you will find your way in time ☺️ I remember cracking open my first box of Tarot cards and feeling intimidated, as well as excited. What I personally found helpful, was to go through each card and intuitively “decide” what it means, first. Then, I compared my impressions to the traditional meanings. I found things seemed to “stick” better that way~ And welcome! I’m new here too hehe 🥰
