peacewing Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Moonlight is a free web-based space to read tarot cards! You can also have a virtual room for up to 6 people where you can chat with video and audio. Years ago I had Orphalese, a desktop program, to read with virtual cards, but Moonlight has been a joy to discover. It comes preloaded with different decks, you can use a pen to draw on the workspace, use premade spreads or use your own spreads, etc... DanielJUK Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Hi @peacewing are you just recommending it to us? I don't think you have any links to it personally? 🙂
peacewing Posted July 19, 2023 Author Posted July 19, 2023 A strong recommendation! I used Orphalese for years and although you can't load in your own decks, using something like this in the web is really easy. The video chat is super nice - my friends and I move all over the world as we get older but the internet can always keep us together. 🥺
gregory Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Orphalese is also BRILLIANT - and I don't have any personal links with it. I use it a lot - not just for reading but also to compare cards (I have the paid for version, in which you can add as many decks as you like - and have scanned and loaded many of my own decks into it.)
DanielJUK Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I am trying out Orphalese at the moment and then going to try out Moonlight 🙂
gregory Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 One thing I love about it is the facility to compare cards. I paid for it, and have about 70 decks loaded. Seeing - say - 75 fool cards together is really interesting.

I checked them out early on and thought that you were consigned to just using their very limited selection of decks -- none of which I would read with. If this is correct, then how did you upload 70 decks on to the sight? manually one by one? 70 X 78 is a lot of cards. Just curious. I really appreciate if you can share your process. Thank you
gregory Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 No I mean with Orphalese. I don't want to run with moonlight. And yes it was pretty hard work uploading them, but you get quicker at it as time goes on. I find moonlight rather nosy - I did take a look, and I prefer Orphalese.
