sandrang123 Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 Hi Friends! Quite a long time ago, I received The Sacred Rose deck as a gift. I loved reading from it, and did for many years. Then one day I was shuffling the cards and just felt like something was missing. Sure enough, I counted my cards and the deck was one short of being complete. So I lost a card somewhere. I never recovered it and haven't used the deck since. But when I was looking for another deck a few days ago, I came across TSR again and I felt a genuine yearning and even a little sadness. I started looking on EBAY to see if I could find any lots of loose cards or someone who had that one replacement card for my deck. My question is: Do you think energetically it's a good or bad idea to add in one card from another deck to my old deck, in order to make it "complete" again? Will it ever be truly complete, if it lost one of its own? Will it throw off the deck's energy? Or should I just buy a brand new Sacred Rose deck, go with that, and keep my old deck retired? Thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sandy
EmpyreanKnight Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 I honestly don't think that there is anything wrong with this spiritually-speaking, Sandy. I even think that your deck might end up happier if it becomes one whole family again, not least because you'd be using it again. Many readers/collectors contact the publisher of their deck if it happens to be missing one or more card, so you might want to try this.

I didn't think of that. Thank you.
RavenOfSummer Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 Totally agreed with EmpyreanKnight! I have contacted the publisher regarding missing or damaged cards on several occasions, and they are very amenable to sending replacements free of charge as long as the deck is in print, which of course the Sacred Rose is. The way I see it, this makes the deck whole and healthy again :) And it's a joy to be able to read with a favorite deck again!
Raggydoll Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 I believe you had that initial feeling for a reason - your deck probably wanted you to notice that there was a card missing. And I would take that as a definite sign that your deck wants you to make it complete again. So go for it!

I've had this deck for so long, and even though it's been used tons and shows signs of wear, I'm going to replace The Emperor card (the one that's been missing). I hope it makes the deck happy again, as I'd like to work with it once more.

I contacted the publisher (great idea) about a replacement card but didn't hear back yet. I might re-send my e-mail, as I've been traveling a lot and might have missed a response in my in-box.
