Cobweb Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 I'm curious to know what others think... I did a reading this evening for someone which made no sense at all to them. The cards seemed really clear to me and a narrative came through - but the querent was quite sure that it wasn't relevant to them/their life. I'm still building experience so I'm completely willing to believe that I got it wrong but I'm curious to know what other people do and say in those circumstances? How do you deal with it and what do you say to the querent? The odd thing is that when I looked again at the cards, the reading could relate very easily to a close family member of mine who is having a lot of trouble in their life at present. Has anyone else experienced something similar? It's as if I've accidentally read for the wrong person!
sandrang123 Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 Hi there, and welcome! Have you been reading your own cards too much? And did you cleanse them before reading another? If not, you may have been picking up again on your own life issues. Think how much you shuffle those cards, compared to the person you just read. Energy travels, and lingers. If you self-read, I find it's helpful to reserve a deck for self-readings, and reserve other decks you feel equally comfortable with for other people. The cleansing is important still, between readings. Also really setting an intention that you want to receive information helpful to your sitter is good, too. Hope this helps! Best wishes.
Emilija Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Sometimes the cards come through with a message for us, rather than the person in front of us. There could also be the possibility that your client didn't feel like sharing, maybe that it was something that they wanted to keep private.
Cobweb Posted January 15, 2018 Author Posted January 15, 2018 Thank you very much for your thoughts. Yes, I had self-read with that deck earlier on yesterday and it had been very keen to talk to me about my family when I had thought I was asking a career question! I think you've both been right. I don't think I'd adequately cleansed the deck or focussed my intentions. I think I've got an issue on my mind and that's the message that's insisting on coming through. Fortunately, I was reading for a close friend who took it all in very good part and who knows that I still have a lot to learn!
