Jewel Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Though I had not been active on AT for a few of years, that was my Tarot home since before it was even a subscriber site! and though I did not post (I was on a Tarot sabbatical lol) I would periodically check in. Last July I got back into tarot full swing but as we all know that is when AT closed. I have been looking for a new Tarot community ever since, and seeing as there are former AT members here I believe I have arrived at the right place :D. I have been involved with Tarot since the mid 80's, collecting decks, journaling, using tarot for self exploration, studying tarot (love tarot work books and study groups), reading for friends, sharing what I know about tarot with friends, learning from fellow enthusiasts, and talking tarot. I also enjoy oracle decks, though I am much more focused on Tarot these days. In July I decided to really enjoy my existing collection and started working with one deck a month and journaling. It has been a real joy, and it has expanded my reading deck base. I am also hoping to start using my monthly experiences to do some deck reviews, which is something I have always wanted to do. I look forward to meeting all of you, and making some new friends that share one of my favorite interests.

Just seems like good stewardship of my finances to actually use my decks :) Please do make an effort to post, it makes the forum a much richer place to be.

I look forward to contributing to the community and to learning from everyone here. I have always seen Tarot as a journey not a destination, so I always see myself as an apprentice lol.

Due to holidays and such I have been working with my Mystic Dreamer deck for the months of December and January, but on the side I have been working with my Wizards Tarot since September (following the book and all the spreads, very fun!), plus doing occasional readings for friends from whichever of my decks they choose. I am old fashioned so my journals are handwritten in notebooks not digital ;D. But I am looking forward to being a part of this community.

It is wonderful to see you here! I took a long break from Tarot but got back into it late last July (about the time AT closed). Imagine my sadness when I saw it was all closed up. Then in January while working on my tarot stuff and googling things I ran across TTM. What a relief to find this place and so many of my old AT friends like you here too :D. I kept my AT name and Avatar in hopes some people would remember me and it would be easier to be "new" again lol.
