nana Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 Hi there - just wanted to ask since the Devil as an archetype is alluring and seductive, would drawing it reverse indicate that the person whom I am asking about consider me unattractive? This is one aspect of he card I hadnt thought about.
DanielJUK Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 For me, the reversed card is much more positive, when he's upside-down, those chains break and the people are free. They are detached and not bound by anything. For how someone sees you, they might see someone who has liberated their life. Not bound by their negative patterns or negative thinking. They might be quite independent and free, not bound by anyone or stuck in contracts in life and things like that. This is a bit of a journey card reversed or a process, like someone who was an alcoholic who is working each day to not give into temptations. They are on a journey of improvement and detachment. A work in progress. This could be negative if someone thinks they are unapproachable as they are so independent they don't want a relationship with anyone. They probably have very strong boundaries in life. Both sides of the Devil are really unequal relationships, in this case, the person might be concentrating on their own journey and enlightenment right now. So they might seem quite unapproachable, not because of unattractiveness.
nana Posted February 22, 2024 Author Posted February 22, 2024 Thank you so much for the thoughtful response.
November Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Hello, I don't think it's a matter of unattractiveness, I would expect other cards for that. For me The Devil Rx in this context rather means they see you as an uninhibited person, free and without prejudice, but I'm wondering if for them instead this might be a problem.
