Misterei Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 (edited) Snake is considered a malefic card. It refers purely to deceit and similar sinister intentions in the original PL instructions. From there we have many associations with a femme fatale / scheming female. I've had Snake show up very differently [so far]. Reference to female doctors and nurses. These aren't scheming femmes fatales ... yet one seeks medical assistance in malefic situations [sickness or injury] so there is a malefic aspect to the situation, but not the woman. Snake = Rahu as the karaka of venom and modern chemical medicines. What is an injection if not the "bite" of a snake? Yes, I read Scythe as the actual needles for the injections ... but so many injections and IVs are targeted poisons. Chemotherapy and Immunosupressant drugs all poison undesirable cells in our bodies. These drugs are risky because they ARE venom. In some cases they heal ... in others they cause unwanted side effects. I read of Snake as intestines or circulatry system in books ... but this was a miss when I applied it to a reading. So, perhaps my own take on Snake is quite different from others'. @DanielJUK I tried to link this post into the Index ... but Index is locked. Edited April 27, 2024 by Misterei
DanielJUK Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 Will include it in the index, the next time I update it with recent threads 🙂
fire cat pickles Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 (edited) I think Snake is associated with the Caduceus in medicine. I've also heard that the Snake is associated with the uterus in women, and gynecological problems, if not problems, then menses. Edited April 26, 2024 by fire cat pickles Since when is WOTH a WORD???

I would think Moon. But I’m too inexperienced to have tested this IRL.

akiva Posted April 27, 2024 Posted April 27, 2024 I possibly have just had it in a reading for the oesophagus, which fits with the bodies "plumbing"

Thanks for the link to Treppner blog🙏 It's a good read! My partner yesterday had to clear a blockage in our sink drain and i thought House+Snake+Mountain = plumbing clog in a house. Plumbers literally have a tool called a snake, although we didn't need one as it was a minor clog. As per the Moon ... female humans normally ovulate on full moon and shed the menses on dark moon. A primal association. In our age of artificial lighting and urban places which are lit 24 hours ... womens' cycles have changed ... but I've also experienced the minute you get away from all the artificial lights and live someplace dark ... yep ... it goes by the Moon just like ocean tides. I also see the Snake as generative/sexual organs, male or female. LOL mostly male [the 1-eyed snake, le serpent rouge] but this starts to confuse LN reading as Snake is mostly considered a female card 🙄 Edited April 27, 2024 by Misterei
