What I ask is:
If I ask the same question 10 different times, with 10 different results... are these 10 answers 10 sides of a true and reliable answer to the question?
Or after the first reading, all the remaining ones have "outdated" answers?

What do they think about that?

This is a complex question.

As physics says the observer can affect a phenomenon, the moment of time you cast your reading will affect the cards. The future is mutable. Small changes from one day to the next may have a "butterfly effect" which changes how the future unfolds.

That being said, if you are a good reader with a calm mind, asking about a similar topic multiple times will yield similar answers. For example, I had a serious health decision and I did multiple readings with tarot and lenormand; plus obtained reading from another person. The general flavor of these readings was affirmative to go ahead. I went forward with the decision and it was the right choice.

*If* I had noticed discrepancies--negative one day, positive the next--i would *not* have gone forward as I would have felt it too risky.

But this can collapse with an inexperienced or obsessive reader. Someone in an agitated state reading obsessively about their romantic or money problems will start to get "gibberish" readings as the cards simply start mirroring the person's internal chaos.

I agree with Misterei.

Also, if a question is based on an assumption (for example “why does ___ hate me so much?”) and that assumption is incorrect, then it’s quite common to receive nonsensical answers that change when you repeat the question.

Also I've noticed that matters of the heart and emotions lead to people repeatedly asking the same question over and over. Will they come back to me? Are they cheating on me? Are they interested in me? They are desperate for a positive confirmation that all will be okay and I am not sure if that is what tarot is for. That's affirmation or faith or positive thinking or manifestation. Tarot is telling you the outcome when you ask the question and it's the truth in that moment (unless it's a terrible question).

I've found that if you keep repeatedly asking questions, tarot likes to get sarcastic and gives funny outcomes and replies deliberately. When I look back, the first reading actually was the most accurate in my own readings and I realised repeatedly asking about the same question was ultimately unhelpful , it took me ages to learn this and really it was a crutch for other things.

The other part of this is that things change and outcomes change in our lives. I am very strict about repeatedly asking questions in my own life now and I ask and then wait one month. If something changes I ask again, if nothing changes, I give it longer. Using tarot in a minimal way of repeating readings has really improved my personal readings. Tarot and divination is ultimately about trusting the reading you get. It's not helpful in most instances to keep reading on the same thing. The only exception is a fast changing situation where you need to react fast, if the situation if the question has changed, then you can read on the new situation.

Tarot readings, by their nature, don't always present a clear-cut "face of truth" in the same way objective facts do. Instead, tarot offers insights, guidance, and reflections that are open to interpretation. Here are some key points to consider:

Subjectivity and Interpretation

  1. Interpretation: Tarot cards require interpretation, and different readers may interpret the same cards in various ways based on their intuition, experience, and the specific context of the question.
  2. Symbolism: The cards are rich with symbolism that can resonate differently with each individual, making the "truth" they reveal somewhat subjective.

Reflective and Insightful

  1. Mirror of the Subconscious: Tarot often acts as a mirror reflecting the querent's subconscious mind. It can reveal hidden thoughts, feelings, and desires, which might be truths that the querent isn't consciously aware of.
  2. Guidance: Rather than predicting a set future, tarot provides guidance on possible outcomes based on current energies and choices. It helps in understanding potential paths and their implications.

Accuracy and Reliability

  1. Energy Reading: Tarot readings tap into the present energies surrounding a situation. The "truth" shown is relevant to the current moment and can change as circumstances and choices evolve.
  2. Intuition: A reader's intuition plays a significant role in interpreting the cards. The accuracy of the reading can be influenced by the reader’s connection to their intuition and the querent’s openness.

Psychological and Emotional Truths

  1. Emotional Clarity: Tarot can bring clarity to emotional and psychological states, providing insights that might lead to personal growth and understanding.
  2. Self-Reflection: The process of engaging with tarot can prompt deep self-reflection, which can uncover personal truths and facilitate a deeper understanding of one's life and choices.

Limitations

  1. Not Absolute Truth: Tarot doesn't provide absolute truths or definite answers. It offers perspectives and possibilities rather than concrete facts.
  2. Reader's Bias: The reader's personal biases and interpretations can influence the reading, which might affect the "truth" presented.

Conclusion

Tarot can reveal truths in the form of insights, reflections, and guidance, but it doesn't always present an objective face of truth. It serves as a tool for exploring possibilities, understanding current energies, and gaining deeper insights into the querent’s life and situations. The truths it reveals are often subjective, reflective, and dependent on interpretation and intuition.

I have learned more, been given more to digest and consider, in this page of posts than I have reaped in the many books I've read.  Thank you. I am silent with  awe and admiration.

I wish I knew how to save this page so I could refer back to it.

Some time ago I used to asked Tarot about my relationship with some girl. I used the services of professional fortune tellers couse i was too emotional in that case to do it by myself. I was ordering one reading approximately 2-3 month after previous one. Imagine that carts was  almost always identical no matter which fortune teller was doing the reading. Some readers said that the first reading in any topic is the key-one and we should follow it and dont ask any more but i dont buy it, since circumstances simply change as the time flow.

If it’s a newer (or rocky) relationship, then 2-3 months is probably enough time between readings. Some situations can change fast while others are more stable. The problem is when someone does readings on the same topic all day, every day, in the hopes for a specific outcome.
