Hi Everyone-

I asked if person X would stop by my house today and I pulled 6 of Cups....I took that to mean a Yes...6 of Cups....Someone that you know making another appearance...Instead, someone else that I know came by to make the delivery that I did not specify in this question. I actually got 4 of Wands when I asked about this other person coming by that did indeed show up. I thought 4 of Wands might mean a vacation...would not be here. So I am trying to troubleshoot...Did I misinterpret the meaning of the cards? This is sort of an open-ended and very basic question....But are there any techniques that you use to feel confident in selecting the cards that you do? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I don't perform readings like these, so others may be in a better position to answer your question. I have some opinion on the cards tho.

The 6 of Cups is a bit neutral for me since it stands for memories and nostalgia. There is a sense of sadness and longing there so I lean towards a no.

The 4 of Wands is a card of celebration for me, of community and festivities. Look at those girls dancing around and exhorting you to come join them! So for me this card is a definite yes.

I think that there may be better ways to perform casual readings, tho I'm not an expert on them.

We had a discussion on Yes/No questions HERE. I hope that helps. :)

Thank you once again EmpyreanKnight for taking the time to respond to my question. You actually made me feel a lot better....I think that I did select the correct cards, but my interpretation was off. This is definitely more encouraging than the other way around. I appreciate the link that you provided....Thanks again!  :)
