How to put a video in a post?

In the give a tarot card a song thread, people post youtubes of the song. But how?

I seem to end up with just a text link if I try a link, or a big mess if I try to embed code. How to do this? Thanks.

It's the same as URLs, if you post a link in a post, the forum software makes a pretty preview

Just post a YouTube URL, sometimes I find, you have to press enter after it and let it load for a sec and then it's there 🙂 

 

I think the mistake people make is not moving past it and letting it form the preview (takes like a second)

 

edit: just tested it out with the link you were trying to post in that post and you just let it load after posting. No need to press enter or anything!

Hmmm. Nope. It just remains a text link with an underline. I wonder if it's a browser thing? Im using firefox.

@DanielJUK Never mind. Now I got it to work. I think it was b/c i was using the link icon.

oh I am glad you solved it

yeah just copy and drop into the white input box. I think the link icon is only useful when you want to do a link and have different text on it.
