any suggestions for a career related spread?

Hi,

I am really stressed at my current job. Management changes in past 6 months have lead to it becoming more unstable and toxic by the minute.

I applied/interviewed for another job and awaiting interview results (very anxiously to say the least).

Is there a small career/finances related Spread (smaller the better) anyone recommends? I only read for myself and look for guidance from cards. Obviously, interview is already done and I could simply wait for the results in next week or so which (waiting without feeling on the edge/anxious) is really hard to do 😄

Thanks! ❤️

I've moved this thread to the Tarot Spreads section

Good luck with what happens next, I am sorry you have this stress 😭

So I think the spreads depends on what you really want to know about this. Do you need to read on the old workplace or how the interview is going to go?

Anyway here are some ideas....

SWOT spread (always good and can be applied to almost anything)

From our old tarot forum....

C-A-R-E-E-R Spread

Job / Career Spreads - you could take some of these position ideas and make your own

Some ideas for inspiration

This. Asking the right questions is key.

My own approach is not trendy, but it works well. I seldom use spreads with named positions, or dedicated spreads for specific issues like career, love, etc. I stick with lines, boxes, and tableaus.

For this, I'd formulate a very specific question like "Will I get the job I interviewed for?" and lay a line of three cards. That's it. Keeping the spread small makes it clear and unambiguous.

If I get a 'no' or 'probably not', I'd ask if I would soon find another job. You can put time limits on it: "Will I have another job in the next month?" "Will I have another job in the next three months?" etc. It's important to say 'have', not 'find.' Cards can be very literal and if you see an ad that a place is hiring, you 'found' a job, but that doesn't guarantee you'll be hired.

Again, this is not the popular way of doing things these days. An amazon search on "Tarot spreads" turns up tons of titles like 1001 Tarot Spreads: The Complete Book of Tarot Spreads for Every Purpose, 365 Tarot Spreads: Revealing the Magic in Each Day, and Power Tarot: More Than 100 Spreads That Give Specific Answers to Your Most Important Question. Spread books are a cash cow. None of these books are necessary, and nobody is going to remember all those spreads. Imagine you've gone pro and you have a little table set up at a shop or a fair. You don't want the first thing your sitter sees to be a pile of books and you nervously thumbing through one trying to find a spread: "I know it was in here somewhere..." 😕

Just ask the right questions and keep it simple. It works every time.

Thank you both of you for your responses!!

I could not stay focused enough on my own readings for myself due to High anxiety related to the situation (and I kept doing reading after reading which is not the right way especially when one is under so much stress) but I will keep both of your suggestions in mind moving forward. I appreciate your help and guidance in learning tarot 🙏

p.s. New job has been offered and accepted by me; and I start next month.

Hope this new job is going well and glad the spread suggestions helped, even if you were very anxious to do them ❤️

just a FYI, you can read on yourself if you feel like you can, and post it in the Personal Tarot Readings area to get our opinions on it. You have to have a go at interpreting it yourself first. Also in the exchanges across the forum, members off readings for feedback, so I would get a different perspective in this situation, just something to think about for the future.
