Hi everyone! I was just looking up images of the different cards for two decks I'm trying to choose between buying later (for my wallet's sale, I probably shouldn't buy both 😭) in order to decide via art styles when I fell down a rabbit-hole and discovered Aecletic Tarot Forum... and then subsequently found out it's no longer active. As a result, I am here.

 

I've been obsessed with Tarot and Oracle decks, divination, and symbolism for a long time - probably since I was about 12. I own way too many decks and continue to acquire more as I fall in love with different art styles and vibes associated with different decks. Honestly, I don't remember how many decks I currently own. 

 

I mostly go by Root online, and but tree as a nickname for or just my username are fine too. I use he/him pronouns, and am mentally ill, disabled, autistic, all that fun comorbitity stuff. My favorite tarot cards are also Death and Strength, which I hope to get tattooed on my shoulders in the next year. I look forward to both using this forum as a resource and participating occasionally!

 

PS. I'm pretty sure introductions online aren't really supposed to be this long or "wordy," but idrc. When in doubt, I blame my mom for being an English major lol.

When you get to five posts around the forum, you get more freedom in posting (you can add images and links and see more sections).

 

I think the Tarot Decks area might appeal to you. Check out the top threads where you can get opinions or talked out of a deck. You can also post about any deck with a new thread. Use it how you like.

 

Also check you out the Library in the forum tabbed menu, you are welcome to add your own reviews. There's lots of ways to discuss decks and get views on them.

Welcome, @khaotictree!  Glad you found us, even if you weren't initially looking.  🙂  Personally, I love introductions that tell us a bit about yourself and why you love tarot, and something about how you got into it.  Hope you enjoy getting around the forum and exploring all the good stuff on offer here.
