Recently in one of my readings I drew as a signifier the 2 of Cups, then above that the Ace of Wands and 3 of Cups. Initially I interpreted this to mean that there was excitement regarding a new relationship but it turned out that it suggested a polyamorous relationship with three other people. Isn't that wild? So I learned that the combination of the 2 and 3 of Cups can symbolize a polyamorous arrangement.

I think we all just did. The 3 of Cups (in RW) they're in a sort of rotating arrangement 😄

It does make sense, it's just that it's mostly a rarity (but I haven't been there, so what do I know?!).

Thanks for this new bit of information.  I'm wondering if seen with the Empress, it might indicate a sperm donor for a same sex marriage. Does anyone else have anything to add in this regard?

Thanks again Bronwyn, it's one to keep in the back of the mind.

Hello @Bronwyn, Welcome!

What a coincidence! I am currently reading "No Questions Asked: Mastering the Art of Intuitive Reading" by Theresa Reed, where she's just discussing that two-card combination and interpreting it as polyamory.

She also reveals other interesting interpretations in some other combinations of cards.

I'm enjoying the book and definitely recommend it!

I will check it out! Every time I make a connection like that, I write it down… I have a book all about tarot card combinations but the author doesn’t mention anything about this particular combo. I learn as I go.

Thread is back, can we please keep posts on the topic at hand

@Bronwyn you might like to read this old forum discussion where someone had The Lovers come up for polyamory as well....

The cards I've had come up for polyamorous relationship were 3 cups and 3 wands. These cards plus court cards showing the people involved. It's a rare topic for me. I think its only come up once or twice.
