lauri_tarot Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 I'm seeking a deck of playing cards to use alongside the Happy Tarot by Selina Ficca from Lo Scarabeo. I'm hoping to find something with illustrated cards, but I'm open to all suggestions whether it's the art or the vibe or a little of both. Thank you so much in advance!
Moon-Hermit Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 (edited) Hi there, @lauri_tarot! The only playing card decks with illustrations that I’ve come across so far are “The Picture-Book of Ana Cortez” and “The Doors of Somlipith” by Ana Cortez again. It also really depends on which style/tradition of cards you want to use alongside your current deck (since playing cards aren’t as varied as tarot decks when it comes to the art style); there are Spanish cards, the German Skat, Piatnik, and of course the common poker/bicycle decks with French suits, etc. But then again, the two decks mentioned above are the only ones I’ve seen so far that have distinct illustrations and themes for the pips (number cards) besides the court/face cards.
