Natural Mystic Guide Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Here's a new spread that I am playing with.
Ferrea Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Thank you for sharing that one, @Natural Mystic Guide! I gave it a try and gained some helpul insights. Though, I rephrased position 3 a bit, as I avoid negations when formulating positions: Discard this doubt. I'm not sure if this is proper English, and I feel it alters the original ever so slightly. Another alternative I was considering was: Trust this from now on. Thanks again, I enjoyed the spread!

Your phrase 'Discard this doubt' is proper English. I like keeping the 'doubt' in there, because self doubt is one of the things that we really have to wrestle with.

I understood the "self doubt" issue as written. So it seems understandable the way it is. I might paraphrase as, Stop doubting this but as i said--I totally understood what was meant as you wrote it--that crippling, toxic self doubt. Bleh.

My point in using a positive phrase instead of a negative is to reduce complexity for the brain to process.
