Returning after quite a while

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. My name is Cody. I am 40 years old and returning to tarot after a very long hiatus. I first became interested in my mid to late teens and began learning about tarot. A few amazing people at Aeclectic helped me get started by gifting decks and stuff. Throughout the years, life came and went and my studies all but stopped completely. I lost all of my decks and things and fell into alcoholism and addiction, but I am proud to say that I have over 8 years of sobriety and at the suggestion of my wife, I am looking to return to studying tarot. I never lost interest, and I am ready to start a fresh journey,

Well done you! And a big welcome to the forum!

Congratulations!  Stay strong and enjoy life without it.  It's been 15 years for me, so you are not alone here!  I'm sure getting back into tarot will give you more insights into yourself that will guide you along your journey!

15 years is amazing! Big congrats on that. If you ever need and ear or just someone to talk to about struggles, my inbox is always open

This is an excellent forum.  It thoroughly covers all aspects of tarot and other similar practices, without allowing unpleasantness to develop or giving internet trolls any kind of platform.  I am really glad that you're finding your way back to tarot and that your spouse is so supportive.  Well done.
