Bodhiseed Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Thank you Fire cat! 💓 I'm in this week with the Wheel of Change Tarot paired with the Oracle of Dreamtime. Strength is not the absence of hurt. It is the refusal to let hurt set the terms of who we become. —Rabbi Yonatan Hambourger The Three of Swords indicates a painful realization and the loss of an illusion. There are some relationships that just can't be put back together as they were before when truth is revealed. But what do we do with our pain? Psychologists Richard Tedeschi and Lawrence Calhoun have studied what they call post-traumatic growth - a conscious shift from being a victim to being a student of our experiences. This process does not delete our pain but helps us use it to extract life lessons and gain emotional resilience rather than remaining stuck. The Dreamtime story of Barramundi tells the story between two young lovers who long to be together, however the young woman was already promised to an older man in an arranged marriage. Rather than accept that fate, the lovers jumped into the sea and became fish. Traditional ideas and romantic dreams must often be sacrificed if we want an authentic, fulfilling life.
Rachelcat Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hi, everybody! Glad to be back again! This week will be Dirt Gems Plant Oracle Deck, the second of my ill-gotten gains from our tarot society giveaway. It’s an herb deck with suits: Ablaze (fire, red), Afloat (water, blue), Adrift (air, black and white), and Amidst (earth, rainbow). 65 cards. I’m going to have to use the book all the time because there are no keywords on the cards. Also, because the new moon happens to be on a Monday, I’m going to use the daily moon phase card keywords of Spirit de la Lune as themes for my daily readings for four weeks. I did this in 2023, and it’s time again because I’m still having trouble coming up with topics and spreads for daily readings. But first, an interview with Dirt Gems. What is your most important characteristic? Magnolia, Time Traveler It has SOME flowers. The deck is all about change and trying to not resist it. What is your strength? Echinacea, The Bridge of Sovereignty The in-between of change. The deck is a bridge that can help me to stop resisting change. Your weakness? Peppermint, The Irresistible The deck is not very calming or helpful for learning about actually using herbs. (Peppermint and ginger are the only herbs I use. Peppermint tea to get rid of digestive discomfort.) What can I learn from you? Damiana, Tingle Maker This is the deck’s romance and sexuality card, I think. I’m willing to learn about pleasure and dreaminess. But not more than that. How can I learn it? Rosemary, The Holder of Belonging Unconditional love, home, and protection. I can learn about pleasure by being reassured that it’s safe and comfortable. What will be the outcome of our work together? Arnica, The Sustainer of Form Healing after trauma, physical or emotional. The deck will help me heal even more from very old trauma. I like the art and the black backgrounds. I wish at least the titles were on the cards, if not keywords. I’m too old to learn a whole new system and too stubborn to look everything up in a book every time! We’ll see how we get along this week.
Mi-Shell Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This will most likely be the last week for me with the Orions Tarot I do like the deck a lot. It has quite a few unusual Animals in its images. But the black cards - Somehow next week I will look for some bright colours.....
Mi-Shell Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Where is it?????? Since 2 weeks we are waiting for the delivery of a 15X40 feet garage tent cover, that is supposed to be delivered from a company in New Brunswick. The tent polwes arrived- finallllly. BUT where the heck is the cover, so we can set the thing up????? Card1: The Situation Card 2: Obstacles/ Problems Card 3: Outcome Card 1: the Situation 4 of Swords A Sloth hangs in an arangement of 4 swords rest and relax Well, easier said than done: We are literally “left hanging” The work crew that is supposed to set this thing up is on stand-by since days. Other work is being delayed because of this “glitch” Card 2: Obstacles/ problems Page of Wands A Red Panda sits awkwardly on an upward bending branch looking out, past his/ her tail Page is a messenger – of Wands – action Yes, we put fire under the bum of the delivery company! But everyone is loooooking everywhere and can not find the thing anywhere – Where is it??? Messages and phone calls forth and back to Toronto and places 2 Canadian provinces further east Where is it?? Who messed up?? Card 3: Outcome The Magician = to me= more than ordinary knowledge is necessary! Use all availlable tools The card shows me 2 large Snakes winding around the symbols of the 4 Tarot suits Soooo, more than 1 person is involved in the mess -up? The colours and the peaceful demeanour of the Snakes as well as the celebratory Flower on the wand tells me, that there is no malicious intent involved - But – it happened at night – or night is playing a pivotal role!! OhShitttttt! All of a sudden something “clicks” inside my consciousness..... Massasauga Rattlesnakes! They are the only Rattlesnakes we have up here and they are not very common. Massasauga - - Mississauga- ????!! The thing is in Mississauga!??!! Mississauga is a large city in Southern Ontario, named after the Anishenabe name “Mouth of the River” The company for sure has an office – warehouse there! I will call them! Stay tuned! I will report back what came out of this one!
