Whisper Posted March 7, 2018 Author Posted March 7, 2018 I wanted to say Temperance (mostly due to being non-binary) but I feel like that card is more what I strive for and hope to embody one day. I think the card that describes me best is in fact Strength: Learning to use gentle instead of overt force, overcoming trauma, and re-learning how to love and let myself be loved. That's lovely, Lantana[/member]. Sounds to me like you're on your way to Temperance. :D

Thank you for your eloquent post (which has really helped me to understand these cards on a deeper level). Love and best wishes on your journey.
Annabelle Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 I identify most strongly with the Hierophant (or Pope, depending on the system) -- the sage, the teacher, the guide. More generally, I identify with all the 5's in tarot.

MollyCat Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 At the moment, I think I am in Hermit mode. strengthening my relationship with myself and the universe. Stage of life stuff but also because of circumstance. The Hermit doesn't cut herself off from others at all. That is hard to do in this world. Rather, she nurtures the quiet spaces within, the better to work effectively in the world. Attached are two of my favourite Hermit images.
Shinsoo Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 I am The Fool--always up for some kind of new adventure. I'm in Fool-mode right now with this whole Tarot thing. So far I really enjoy it. The challenge however is, will it keep my interest? Not much seems to stick--not even the callings of my soul's path.

These are gorgeous images. We definitely need "time out" to strengthen our relationship with consciousness. <3 <3 I have the first deck and never realized how beautiful that Hermit really is. You know, every time I see your Tree deck, it's as if it reaches out to me and wants me to nurture it, somehow. Hmmm.... I wonder if that means that its sister or brother wants a home with me.
DanielJUK Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 goodness that is such a hard question, I had to think about this one! Someone doing a reading for me in a circle once on AT said I was the High Priestess that came up in the reading, this really shocked me as I didn't feel every HPy at all! But I can see I am a real balance between logical and intuitive. I would say though Hierophant and Star for me personally, I can't pick one because I am a bit of both and I feel I am a healing counselling presence. I most feel drawn to the Sun card though but I don't think it epitomises me! I could easily have been a priest I think if it wasn't for the fact that I feel disconnected by the traditions and dogma. Also a counsellor / therapist with the Star. Another fascinating question would be, where are you on the major arcana cycle currently in your life? I see that as different to who you are represented by in the majors but that probably needs another thread :)

That is a very good question and definitely merits another thread. Please, do start it. [emoji4]
Whisper Posted April 15, 2018 Author Posted April 15, 2018 I've learned to be thoughtful about the use of frameworks like the Tarot. or other disciplines like psychology, medicine, sociology. These things are just guides. We rarely know the backstory or the full current picture. Couldn't agree more. They must be taken as guides. [emoji4] That said, I would have to posit that this cycle/phase that I'm going through at the moment could be likened to the archetype of theHanged Man...
