Hello everyone -

I retired from work almost nine months ago and have slowly been working out what to do next.

One thing I'm doing is developing my writing and I'm using Tarot again to help a little with this.

Have been a constant tarot user for about 15 years and have about 40 decks but some are locked away so I'm not sure of the exact number.  I have apps which I use most days but am returning to the actual cards now that there is time. In various attempts to declutter, I've given a lot of decks away over the years.

I have belonged to some Facebook Tarot Forums but left Facebook itself about six months ago.

I love Ellen Lorenzi Prince's decks, especially Tarot of the Crone, but I have them all.  I also love Tarot of the Shining Tribe by Rachel Pollack, the Osho Zen, various versions of the Marseille and a few cat decks.    Tarot of the Trees is usually a starkly honest deck for me, and I love the smaller cards.

I don't think I'll be a frequent visitor but it is nice to find an Internet space that is not Facebook or Twitter.

Thank you for being here.  The forum seems relaxed and friendly.  I have just worked out how to subscribe and now I have to discover how to add an avatar!

i adore Ellen Lorenzi Prince's Decks, also! Her Tarot of the Crone [and Dark Goddess] are 2 of my all time favorite decks.

Hi MollyCat and welcome to TT&M!  We hope you find yourself visiting more than you think. ;)  To add an avatar click on the Profile tab.  Then look for Modify Profile and click on it.  You'll find at the top Personalized Picture and 3 different ways you can add your image.  If you need additional help, just ask. :D

Thank-you for the welcome!

I managed to upload an avatar/picture of my cat, Molly, a former rescue cat now about 8 years old.  She moved in here when she was four.  She is a delight - engaging and intuitive - and I can't imagine her not being here now, but all cat people probably think the same about their companions.  :)  She is almost like a tortoiseshell.

She often sleeps on the top of my recliner whilst I read or work, and this is where she is pictured here.

Tortoiseshell females get more feisty as they age but they live to be old gals!  You’ll find lots of cat lovers here.  ^-^

She is precious. I always had kitties until we lost our Hermoine (we also had two dogs), now we stick at 2 Shih-Tzu's.  One is a rescue (adopted as a senior special needs) who we have had for almost 4 years and we feel the same way about him as you do your rescue kitty.  I think there is something very special about rescue companions, and in the end I am not sure who really rescues who  :).  I am glad you and Molly found each other, and I am glad you found this forum.
