RavenOfSummer Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I had noticed recently when visiting the US Games site that it seems like they've updated their site- thank goodness! They were really due for an update, and with the changes I think the site is now easier to navigate, easier to see the new decks and available pre-orders, etc. But I was pleasantly surprised to also notice that they now seem to have all LWBs available for download right there on the deck pages! That is very nice and convenient. I had just gotten a Ghosts & Spirits without the LWB in a trade, and was planning to email them to see if they could send me a copy. I went to their site just to make sure the deck was still in print (I wasn't sure), and to my surprise I saw the LWB right there on the page for the deck! You can see it here- click on the "Booklet" button below the picture of the deck. I tried clicking around on a few other decks and all the ones I checked have the LWB there! Anyway, I just thought this was neat and wanted to share. Unless they were always there, on the previous iteration of the site as well, and I just missed them?
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I noticed and appreciated the updated site also. LWB on site is brilliant
DanielJUK Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 That site really needed updating and what a nice idea to put them all on the site! It's always useful to be able to have a copy of the LWB's :)
EmpyreanKnight Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 I've been out of the loop for so long, I didn't know until now that USG has revamped their website. I like the new look tho! But yeah, even in its previous version, the USG site posted the LWBs of their decks. In my post HERE in October last year, I provided a link to an LWB from their site. I'm glad that they still retained the LWBs in their new site.
PageOfCups Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 I think you can still download the complete versions of their older LWB's, but the newer, more recently-released are given just an excerpt or a truncated version last time I checked. It's good promotion/marketing IMO. I don't see people just downloading them just because they want a freebie. I read their LWB for the Dreamingway Tarot and if I was on-the-fence about wanting that deck before, I was compelled to actually buy it (still holding off for the borderless version, tho—surely they've noticed the amount of trimming videos on YouTube for that deck). Especially impressed at the description of the cards as people, like what 'demographic' (age group, temperament) the High Priestess would've been and such. And something about the Ace of Cups in reversed meaning being emotionally-overinvestsd and obsessed or something along those lines.
