It has now been approximately 12 hours since the Aeclectic Tarot Forums have closed the doors. I wanted to do something to commemorate, in some small way, everything that The Forums was. So, with that in mind, I'm doing a give-away of the Sedona Vortex Tarot!

I'm going to set an alarm on my computer (and phone :D) for a secret time on ... oh, let's say Wednesday, 19 July 2017 to give time for lots of folks to hear about this. When my alarm goes of, the last post in the thread at that time will be the winner!

So, go ahead and chat away! You can talk about whatever strikes your fancy! Have fun conversations!

Edit to add a bit more info on the deck;

This deck is new, the cards are in shrink-wrap inside the box. I will admit that I purchased it at a used-book store, but I don't think it is in print any more. The art-work is a collage style using a mix of photographs and drawings. It is a RWS based deck, although, for the most part, the imagery is quite different. The suits are renamed using the names of four of the vortex locations around Sedona; Boynton Canyon, Airport Mesa, Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock and these correspond to Coins, Wands, Swords and Cups (respectively). It is an interesting and seems to be pretty intuitive to work with.

Very generous of you! I wound up losing almost all of my decks and down to 3 tarot (think?) and 2 or 3 oracle...I miss my HUGE basket of decks! I know I didn't use them all so it was kind of silly of me to have so many but I guess I'm a very OCD person.

(you should see my yarn/dolls and books collection!)  ;D

is there such a thing as having to many Tarot Decks? hmmm pondering what say you?  :-\

Can I ask?  How did you lose your decks?

Never such a thing as having too many decks!  As long as you have room!

Thank you for hosting this Trogon!

Well ... since we're not quite to the end here, I'll go ahead and post (though I won't post much in this thread till the end).

First off, I agree 100% with Little Fang - you can't have TOO many Tarot decks! My collection is at 43 right now. I will be adding to it! :D

I was also wondering how you lost your collection? I would be kind of broken up over that. I love working with all my different decks, though it does take time. ;)

Growing this thread  :)

I have a lot of decks, but when I think about reducing the number I realise I love them all! I would be heartbroken to lose them.

I discovered I *DID* have too many tarot decks... too many of the "what was I thinking?" variety... weeds in my collection.

I culled ruthlessly, sold off about 50% of my 200 deck collection, and now have only decks I truly treasure.  For me, less truly IS more!

I could definitely stand to reduce my collection, and yet I keep adding to it ha ha

It was busy today - a parcel from lovely Emmsma which contained cards for my latest patchwork deck, several incomplete decks I hope to rescue, and the return of a copy of the Arthurian as it wasn't being loved there  :)

Is there a special sticker or label when you get back decks you gave away LOL

I'm just gonna jump in here before its too late!!

Such a great thing to do, Trogon, thank you!

I'm trying not to buy anymore for a while, as I have so many I don't know very well... But I don't have too many, I've only started to collect this year.  Before that, I had two decks I used.

Good luck everyone! ;)
