I just saw this in an online store. I was surprised that they're actually a thing.

So has anybody actually used them? How were they like - were they effective? Which brand/s did you use, and would you recommend them?

I don't know if they're available locally, but if they're really good I might import some to test them.

My friends used to use these for their YuGiOh cards back in the day. I never heard any complaints of them NOT working, so they might be pretty effective. And I saw them shuffle their decks with no problem. I think these might be a good idea for the Anima Antique decks...

I'd be pretty interested to hear about these too. I worry about the cardstock on my ExtraOrdinary Oracle (which feels like actual thick paper) and I've also heard that one of the decks I want (Tarot of Trees) has super thin cardstock as well. It'd be nice to be able to use these decks without worry of them fading into dust, but I'm a little worried about how well card sleeves shuffle.

Hum ... I wonder if I'd want my decks to stay pristine and new looking?  There is, after all, something to be said for 'old, and worn' looking cards.  I'm still thinking this over.

exactly!:) imo this is perfect for DiY Crafty Bling projects when you wish to keep all your glitters/colors/other elements etc in place or those old *papery decks that can't handle much use?:)

When I just started, I was a bit finicky with my cards, but now I've managed to accept that the decks I use will get old and battered eventually, tho I still handle them with care and respect. I guess sleeves will appeal to fastidious readers or those who wish to use their rare/limited edition/OOP decks while minimizing the chance of any damage.
