Good day to you Tarot, Tea & Me!  :)

 

I'm a modern heretic, which is a convoluted way of saying that I'm on my own spiritual path.

Despite that, I think I'm adjusting myself quite well to the current "spirit of our times",

in other words living for $money$, fame and other hedonistic activities...  >:D

(Or at least pretending to enough to get left alone)

 

I've known about Tarot for a number of years, like 15 or so,

but it is really an on and off again activity.

Especially when life gets more stressful, I've found it going out the window.

Kinda ironic as it is then I probably need the advice most.

 

I have many interests that tie in with my spiritual path,

among others a deep interest in Carl Jung.

Hence my spiritual journey tie into what Jung would term a process of individuation.

 

I also do Tai-Chi and Ba-Gua as I like to think of spirituality as something that can manifest beyond the abstract.

Though I'm careful with concepts like Chi and such, as I think it is a great way to inflate ones ego.

Starting to think that one is so "powerful with the force" for whatever reason.

(Not that one can't become more powerful, but reality demands proof)

 

I have participated in various spiritual activities, meditation etc

I'm quite fond of Circling as it forces me to actually test out my own level of consciousness.

Not just the pat on the back you are so awesome for having fantasies of greatness

that used to occupy my mind every time I read about a spiritual topic.

 

I don't know if there is much else to say about me that seems relevant for this site.

But, both are a tall order in a demanding world.

Hi Arch, welcome to Tarot Tea and Me!  Not turning to the tarot when stressed is actually a good thing.  You are on  your own spiritual path and you need to walk it.  You meditate and practice martial arts.  You sound like a person that might not need to read for yourself as much as others.  You might find that incorporating the tarot into your daily meditation might be fun now that you're a part of the forum.  We have many study circles to choose from and I hope you enjoy the forum.  ^-^

Yeah, I figure adding one more firm commitment in my life right now is probably not smart Saturn Celeste.

I've started a journal where I can tinker on my individuation process, when I feel lost.

I sort of sought out this forum, cause I've felt a little lost lately.

But after the first post/read, I sort of saw the problem.

It was pretty obvious once I got my head out of the train of reasoning I've been on.

Oh I'm not letting you get away this quickly! lol  >:D  Journaling here is a great idea!  I do have something you might be interested in.  We have just started a mentor feature if you're interested in a mentor for around a month, scheduling is between you and your mentor after your initial post on your team thread.  I have KatMoon ready to go and I think you might really find this interesting and it can hopefully answer why you sought out this forum.  Some things you can't decide matter of fact - right off the bat, some things you might want to take a journey to find the reason.  Has your journey just gotten bigger?  Whatever you decide, always feel free to ask questions. ;)
