hierophant Posted September 7, 2018 Author Posted September 7, 2018 And then there is the "Will I manage to achieve what I am thinking of, if I do the thing I am considering?" Well, it would be easier for me to interpret the cards if you weren't so cryptic O:-)
Raggydoll Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I haven’t had very many testers, although one particular event comes to mind. It was a person that I just could not get any feel for - it felt like my cards had gone on a mental vacation. So I had nothing else to do but to tell this person that I just couldn’t pick up anything or make any sense of the reading. Then this person confessed that it was actually on of their family members who was the real querent and had asked her to consult a reader for them. So when I told her that I don’t/can’t work like that she arranged for me to talk to the actual person wanting the reading. And all worked out fine. I have also met quite a few skeptics. One (a younger male querent) was very reluctant to give me any information, he just wanted a very general reading. That’s fine, I said, and told him everything that I was picking up (including his girlfriends pregnancy, some relationship issues they had and so on). After I was done he told me about his initial skepticism and that he now had changed his mind and wanted to book another reading. That was such a great moment, I’m glad that I had a particularly sharp day that time!
devin Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 It is also hard to read for a query like "my mother ran away, and the house needs painted, so what doctor should I use" And then there is the "Will I manage to achieve what I am thinking of, if I do the thing I am considering?" :) Ah, but my favourite is still the online variety: What does w think of what x did regarding y's reaction to z? Still, it's a good feeling when you manage to come up with something specific to an wxyz question. It's like passing a quasi blind test. And I try and remind myself that all people's questions are probably important in some sense (maybe I'm deluding myself).
Raggydoll Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I can’t remember if it was Katrina Wynne that spoke about the importance of finding the question behind the question. But that is something I have had to spend quite a bit of time on (mainly with IRL or phone readings). It can take some time for the querent to settle down and get their thoughts and expectations in order. But that time is well spent as it generally makes for a better reading on every level.
