Do you use your decks in predicting the outcomes of observable events like sports games, the stock market, reality TV shows, etc.? What can you say is your batting average? If it's rather high, do you hesitate to cash in on your skill, or do you think that it's somehow disrespectful of your gift? Care to share your favorite spreads, the ones that give you the most accurate results?

I very rarely do this, in fact I can only count in one hand the number of times I tried to predict the outcome of a game. The last time I did it was during the Sharapova-Williams match in the last French Open. It was fairly accurate.

For this kind of reading, I draw a maximum of 2 cards for each participant. I just discern the story that the combination whispers and analyze which one has the more/most favorable outcome.

Only once and I have never done it since.  It was the morning I was going to vote for Hillary Clinton and I asked the cards if she was going to win.  They said yes.  Technically she did win by votes but not the electoral college.  I have never nor will I ever read the cards to predict the outcome of something like that again.

I do make actual predictions but I do it just for fun! I think there is a slightly over 50:50 chance of me getting it right but I think tarot is not straight forwards when making future predictions, it gets themes and the energy of situations. Like Saturn posted in her example, the prediction was right but it's not really exactly what happened. I think you can get themes right but it's hard to be exact and get it right. I personally would not like to put it to use by cashing in, predicting the lottery or predicting crimes or something like that, it's way not accurate or scientific enough for that.

When AT had thousands of members coming in each day and posting readings and exchanges, it was often discussed how people did not predict exact things happening, bad things happened but why didn't someone know and see it happening? In my years on AT a classic in recent times was the awful Nice terrorism and one event that happened before my time there was 9/11 and the twin towers (this was in the early years of the formation of AT). Someone went through the threads of readings posted on both those days and some people did get the sort of general energy that something bad was going to happen. They posted about it but didn't know exactly what was happening. But often these predictions are easy to unpick later with hindsight but it's impossible to have a definite message that could have saved anyone or stopped something happening before what sadly happened.

I have got very much into predicting events around me now, like the World Cup was just for fun but I do political predictions about my country privately to see where the next directions are going. I am not sure why but because I have never felt more unsure about the future, I find them comforting even if they are negative or not the way I want. I am quite drawn to it currently :)

It's a complicated topic but it's very very tricky! I don't feel confident making definite important predictions but I will for fun or for myself or with a disclaimer that I could well be wrong. I have seen some great predictions online though, it does work :)

Those are some nice insights, Daniel. Those dark readings pre-9/11 tho nebulous were quite eerily prescient. I hope the readings here won't presage anything like that anytime soon!

And yeah, I also remember your World Cup readings in your journal. Those were fun! I still can't get over England's dream run. ;D

l have amused myself in the past with politics, sport and the like, and was surprised the cards came out accurately.
