Hi all :) I signed up a while ago but haven't ever posted--pretty normal for me, since I'm typically more of a lurker (14 years on Aeclectic Tarot & only ~360 posts to show for it!)...although I really would like to participate more frequently.

 

Me & tarot: got my first deck when I was 12 or 13 (both of my parents had an interest in tarot going back to before I was born), been interested in it since, involvement waxes & wanes, sometimes I'm doing readings for myself daily for months, sometimes it's only seasonal/birthday/special spreads & as needed. I've collected a few decks over the years, maybe 50ish? Although my deck purchasing has slowed down lately, I feel like I have enough decks that are different enough to suit many moods. Have to say I'm a huge fan of Pamela Colman Smith's artwork and the Rider deck is one of my favorites. Rachel Pollack is my favorite tarot person, 78 Degrees of Wisdom is awesome and I wish there were more books in that vein, that blend everything so well and teach you about something besides tarot to boot.

 

Me in general: Love mountains & walking on them, pretty introverted, read a lot, work in the mental health field, married, pet cat, like to play board games & video games, always try have some creative endeavor going whether it's digital painting, embroidery, watercolor, collage, learning different musical instruments, experimenting with new recipes, etc. Sometimes my well-being feels like a struggle due to frequent migraines & the underlying disorder that causes them.

 

I'm hoping to be more involved here than I usually am in forums but... we'll see.  ;D

Thank you, often this username is taken already so I'm glad it wasn't when I signed up here. Also I'm not Sharyn (maybe she had this username over at AT?), but I do appreciate the sentiment :D
