Yesterday's brief discussion (in "any suggestions for bright decks") of the World Spirit Tarot's "Baby Nixon" Sun card got me thinking: what are some cards that make you say "what were they thinking when they came up with that ? "

The 10 of Pentacles from the Bosch Tarot ... I mean seriously pooping pentacles???? that is just nasty lol.

Seriously just google the image lol.  That was the card that made me trade that deck lol.

There's also the literally castrated dude in the Deux De Bâton of the Golden Tarot of the Renaissance:

 

 

And there he is, lounging in the ground like he's waiting to be served like a pasha while his balls are lying not so far off. For someone so recently gelt, he looks mighty bored.

 

It's grown on me tho.

Quite a number get all flummoxed when they first meet Atargatis from the Barbara Walker Tarot, but she really is quite a dear once you get to know her better:

P.S. I thought I had traded my Bosch deck, but low and behold I found it behind some other decks on my bookshelf last night ... I like the strange art, perhaps in time I will pull the deck out and see if I keep it, attempt to trade it, or if necessary take it Half Priced books>  Who knows may the 10 of poopies might grow on me.  If EK can get over the castrated dude and the toothy female genetalia what is a little golden poop, right? LOL
