I’m considering decks and AJ-ish mentioned the Journey into Egypt Tarot.  I just have a few questions:

Does it come with any kind of guidebook?

I see there isn’t a workbook for it...how do you learn to read the cards in depth?

What are the odds that it will increase in value like the Maat?

I see there’s an app with a guidebook, but how is it to read with digital cards?  Can you take a screenshot?

I’m starting to learn to read tarot and astrology together and I see these combine sun signs and moon phases, but how are they for reading the finer aspects of tarot and astrology together?

What does the 3 of swords look like?

Why is the Queen of Cups looking up a flight of stairs?

What are your general impressions about this deck?  It would be quite an investment for a neophyte like me, but I do like her art and I’m constantly looking for something to enrich the reading experience for me and anyone kind enough to sit for me.

Thanks so much!

I appreciate your input beyond belief, lol!

I don’t have this deck, but I adore and highly recomend any of The Fool’s Dog apps. It’s great for playing around with a deck before buying it. I do my daily draw on an app and make it the wallpaper for my phone for the day. I find having at least a basic understanding of tarot enhances my use of an app. It can be nice to have the app on my phone when it’s not practical or possible to have tarot cards. I use the app to screen shot the cards and I copy the picture into my Pages tarot journal - super easy and convenient.

If I also have the physical deck, then I don’t have to carry the book around with me, which is why I got The Steampunk Tarott app. I also use the RWS app for reference and study. By using the app, I was able to determine that I did want The Housewives Taort cards because it’s easy for me to read intuitively and I don’t want The Tarot of Trees because it isn’t. The art is gerogous, but it’s not for me.

I find the apps accurate and insightful, although I’m new to tarot, so take that into account. And while I do occasionally get something that makes me scratch my head in confusion, that can happen to me with the physical cards as well. There’s a free sampler app, although I find that one is a little all over the place because it’s using cards from different decks. It was helpful for me to get a feel for how the apps work. I still prefer physical cards, but the apps work great and I use them a lot.

I’d vote for getting the app. Take a look at all the cards and do some readings. See how it works for you.

TL/DR - get the app first!

Good luck and I hope you get some responses from people who have the deck.

This is one of my favourite decks, ever!! I have two copies of it and the app, too.

I would not hesitate to buy the app and the physical deck. If you’re into Ancient Egypt and like large decks, this is a must.

Gorgeous. As for reading the deck, there is an accompanying book (sold separately). I use the app’s text and read intuitively with it, too. That is enough for you to read with these cards.

Once you start using them a lot and are familiar with Cuccia’s interpretations from the book or app, you will begin to develop your own take on the cards’ meanings.

Why not get the app alone? Because you would be missing the stunning, and I mean truly stunning beauty of the cards themselves.

Hope this helps. Don’t hesitate to message me if you have other questions because this is one of my favourite decks ever.

I could kick myself for not having purchased the Ma’at!
