Anouk Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 When the eight of wands indicates a fast outcome or a quick change, how fast are we talking? Is there a time limit or a general idea of what that means?
Raggydoll Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 When the eight of wands indicates a fast outcome or a quick change, how fast are we talking? Is there a time limit or a general idea of what that means? I’d say it depends on what deck you’re using. Some decks (like the RWS) depicts the wands as about to land (you can actually see land mass in the background), while other decks depicts them as being mid air or just shot off as arrows up in the sky. In the RWS I would say within a few days (maybe a week if it concerns something that has been going on for a while - like a year long project).
Raggydoll Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 The other cards will modify it though, so go with your gut instinct and the overall impression

Grandma Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 That's an interesting question, Crowleyreader. Do you always read the Eight of Wands as quick outcome, or are you just asking about the specific instances when you see it that way? I find it can also have other meanings, like the need for action, or that it's a good time to act, or conversely that someone or something is moving too fast, or other variations on the underlying idea of a quick outcome. Do you do that too? I don't use reversals, but sometimes I sense reversed or opposite meanings in various cards. And I sometimes get messages that are not literal. Does that make sense? (I hope so, or I've been doing a lot of things wrong!) And if I'm going off on a tangent that you don't want to explore, feel free to politely change the subject! And again, the specific deck and the other cards pulled always make a difference too, as does the specific question and situation being read.

Partly because every thing in life is transient and there are always two sides to every coin. I guess I think about this card as being fast acting because I'm familiar with the Thoth card "swiftness". That said, the cards I now use are the Shadowscapes deck and the image is a woman blowing dandelion seeds, which really aren't the fast moving being carried on the breeze, so I can see how different cards can be interpreted differently. It's so interesting. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
Grandma Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 I just looked up this card in the Shadowscapes tarot. Wow! You know, I never paid much attention to this deck until you started reading with it, Crowleyreader, and I am blown away by it's haunting beauty. I'm going to buy it soon!

Haha it's really beautiful, but I do wish the cards were full image and had sexy silver edges. I think it deserves more. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
theoijonitamat Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 That is an interesting question! I would say within a month in general, but with all future outcomes it is not set in stone. So, like one of the replies about mentioning varies dates, to me. I will tune in with Source to see how long does it take for the specific situation. I realised that this depends on the how firm the query's intention coupled with how consistent the query's action is to the outcome that they want to arrive at, along with other external factors that cannot be controlled.
Starri Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 For me it's been as quick as 1 day; usually just a couple days though; it's very quick for me..i was using rider waite btw.
