Then treat it as such. Pull your favorites and display them. Look at them and appreciate the art work. Maybe it will open a channel for you.
Guest D76 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 (edited) RWS deck....brrrrr....The worst deck I ever had in my hands. This cards don't wanna "talk" with me (but i try). Thanks God, without result. Very negative energy deck. --- A, sorry, one more...This is very popular "Manara" . But, I try to "talk" with this extra vulgar trash))). No responce. I think, I have a good taste. ) Edited August 31, 2019 by D76
Aldor44 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I don't own a lot of decks But from what I have - The Wild Unknown is a deck I am DYING to work with- but it seems that it is not visual enough for me- since I usually connect to the various images and is drawn to heavily imaged decks. I still would LOVE to work with it... If any of you have any suggestions as to what I can do I would highly appreciate it. Same goes for the 2nd deck I would LOVE to use more often- Hidden Realm Tarot - which on top of being full of amazing but zoom in portraits - also has some different meanings from the traditional RWS that confuse me even further...

LOL I think the reason I've tried so hard to work with this deck is because it fits the type of deck that I love perfectly. I practice an earth based spirituality so I was thinking this would be a perfect fit. And, to boot, the Druidcraft was at this time and still is my most used and most beloved deck of all, hands down (It edges out even my beloved RWS!) so I was absolutely convinced that the Wildwood would be a sure and trusted go-to. Back when AT was going, I read raves about the Wildwood and so many there said that it even beat out the Druidcraft as their favorite "earthy" deck. I was sold...until I actually got it and tried to use it, that is. I love the artwork and find it amazing and beautiful. It's visually perfect. It just won't read for me though. You've brought up some really good points. Perhaps I had too much expectation and somehow that's caused my connection issue. I think that's certainly possible. I've thought more than once to just let it go and let it find a new home that may be able to use it properly. I'm stubborn though and didn't want to give up on it but I think it's likely time. Thank you for your help and insight 🙂 I found that every time a new deck came out and people raved about it to start with, the trend seemed to be that that didn't last. The most-anticipated and, when received, raved-over decks then just fell off and didn't even sell well enough sometimes to keep the deck in print. That's when I moved into my phase of checking decks out as much as I could online to see whether they'd be an actual fit for me. Then I moved to a phase where I was no longer convinced that THE deck for ME was out there and that I just hadn't found it yet to knowing that no such deck exists. Gaining more experience of what reading cards is all about was another lesson. The Wildwood doesn't work for me, either. I can read with pretty much any deck, but the Wildwood leaves me cold. I have Native American ancestry and I have beliefs along the lines a deck like this would be compatible with but it just falls flat for me. I've always seen people panting after the Greenwood and then when the Wildwood came out it was supposed to be like the Greenwood I read somewhere so I got the Wildwood, wondering if it would be something like the Holy Grail Greenwood.----Pfffft!!! I don't know how close it is to a Greenwood but it does nothing for me. I even trimmed mine thinking it might make a coherent oracle for me but no luck there either.
