RavenOfSummer Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Is anyone familiar with a site WTarot, that sells decks? It seems...not quite legit to me? (I apologize in advance and will eat my words if it is.) It just seems odd that they say they have an OOP deck like Roots of Asia for $58, and then they have an IN print deck like Dreams of Gaia for...$68? Anyone have experience with this site?
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 legit or not, it seems sketchy. No info at all of who the adult in charge is (although sites can and do say anything) If those prices don't include us shipping they are very high I thought by the prices it might be based in Canada or Australia, but apparently not as it says no tracking to those countries. I've seen many sites over the years bringing buyers in by listing all the deck ever printed. Until you put them in your cart, then they are not available. Could try that as a check?
GreatDane Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 I had never heard of it before and am glad there is a thread here about it. Glad you all share re sites you think are good or iffy.
Grandma Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 There is something very off about this site. They are asking $40 for the English Magic Tarot that is available for less than $10 on Amazon, and they are offering the Victoria Regina, which I can only find on ebay for $995, for $88. Of course the $995 includes free shipping, but even still...
Guest Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 From the FAQ page: "Production All products presented in the online store wtarot.com, are the own production of the publishing house U.S. Magic" Look at any individual item's "additional information" tab; they all say published by U.S. Magic. These are all bootlegs. Buyer beware.

MysticMoonlight Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I've never heard of this site but I'm glad that I have now and know to beware! Thanks you guys! (( If it sounds to good to be true....
Guest Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Now everyone will know to stay far away from this site! This got me thinking: maybe there's a place we can have a sticky with a list of bootleg retailers, so shoppers here can familiarize themselves? Conversely, a thread for reputable/favorite dealers/publishers?
