GreatDane Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 This is not to be confused with a new house clearing or blessing, but something I just do time to time. I walk around the corners of each room and use my chime (although clapping disperses energy as well). Light some incense and walk around rooms (my smudging). When the place is closed up a lot in winter, that and opening a window as I can for as long as I can (but hard when it's COOOLD) just helps energize my space and bring some positive vibes. I also may cleanse the stones I have on my windowsills during the super moon. And from time to time, I sprinkle salt around the front of the outside of my door. Just need a bit of quick clearing, I just use my chime and spritz some of my fav essential oils. What do you do?
Saturn Celeste Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 What do you do? My son used to use a white sage smudge stick and go around in the house back when we had 4 cats, even 6 cats but now with 12 it just makes the cats upset. I keep the incense over in my corner and that's ok with them but when they smell smoke around, they get nervous. They don't like lighters at all and many of the younger ones run into corners and under beds. lolol I do feel my house has a different balance than most 'spiritual' houses because of the number of cats inside. For years I have believed in the veil that separates this world with the unknown and I feel cats cross that veil when I sleep. So to me, the cats are almost spiritual in themselves. Well, they are spiritual. ;)
GreatDane Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 WELL YEAH, Saturn Celeste! Of course they are! CATS ARE GRAND. I have just had three at a time (and two large dogs, I had to rent a bigger house to accommodate them all). Now my "familiar" :) is Bryan, the CoJack. No cats not because I wouldn't adore having another, but one companion is all I can handle and afford (and Bryan would bug a cat batty). Yes, I am sure your cats ARE your "smudging!"
