I love my Grand Etteilla! The art, the whole tall dark stranger vibe, the extra cards...

 

Can you tell me if Grand jeu de l Oracle des Dames is just another name for basically the same deck?

 

I'm doing something really difficult and want to reward myself...

Well, I definitely don't have a big brain, but I have both decks.

 

I think they are basically the same deck, but I far prefer the format of the Grand Etteilla Egyptian Gypsies Tarot. I agree with you wholeheartedly regarding its uncanny fortune-telling vibe.

 

I actually haven't looked at the Grand jeu de L'Oracle des Dames in years. Here's a quick flip-through if you haven't already looked at it:
